Good message you spreading. Well, I do keep water for birds at window of my balcony not just in summer but whole year.

Well, I have never thought of it that way Shardul! The most common birds we have here are crows and sparrows and another type (I don’t know what’s it called in English) and I have never seen people putting out water for them. They drink alright from small puddles on roads and that is how I have seen them.

We put seeds and have a few bird baths in the garden as well. We also put bread out for them regularly too.

I feed the birds, but not on my balcony, as when they come for the food, they use my balcony as a toilet as well! Others in hot countries would do well to remember this, as it can be hard work removing droppings from tiles. I put stuff on top of my old barbecue on the lawn, so it is high enough to keep the birds safe from predators, but easy enough to wipe over if they drop a message from the sky! Thanks for reminding everyone that birds need feeding in the summer as well as the winter.

Young man, i must learn you...don't you know that if you put water and grains on balcony and windows - you're actually killing the poor, dear birds? have you ever considered that its a "scorching summer," you've said? and don't you know that by putting it on the ledge of windows or balconies - you're exposing the water and seeds to a scorching temperature - which i presume..you've learned in your biology that above 0.125* will constrict the birds throat? It will lead to its early demise due to asphyxiation? lol! just kidding myLot friend! That's a great idea! actually i've been doing it since then...Yea! preach it! let's save Tweety Bird from the clutches of that big bad Sylvester cat..uhmnn.. I tot i taw a putty tat!
