GET MARRIED in the world

In the Carribean Islands they have a great time! There's no need for a best man, and the mother and father of the bride walk her down the aisle... or atleast in most cases. The Bride and Groom WALK to the church, with bells ringing and people crowded in the strets just to see the bride and groom...
Then when they get to the wedding they have all sorts of food, curried goat, spicy chicken jerky, fried plaintains, and conch fritters...
Then the wedding cake is the best part of it all, a recipe past from mother to daughter for Black cake, which the dried fruits used in the cake can take up to a year to cook in rum sauce!
Where did I get this information?
Right here! http://linkbee.com/WorldWedding This isn't a referral link, but click on it to find out traditions from all over the world!

This is another really good discussion baby and I am sure that different people have different opinions when it comes to having weddings around the world,I am sure that a lot of people think it would be really cool to have their wedding somewhere else in the world other than in their own state or own town and then I am sure there are probably some people who would rather have their wedding in their own town or own state because it is simpler and better, and I can understand both sides, and I think that sounds really interesting when it comes to wedding things, and I have not looked at the link yet,but I might look at the link a little later, but it would be nice to have a fancy wedding in another country,I would much rather have our wedding in the church where we chose, because it is simpler, and it is much more country, and it would be more special to us,I can not wait until we get married and spend the rest of our lives together,I love you with all my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

I think that it is great to look at things like this but I agree that as for our wedding, I'd rather have it in the church we specified locally. I'd rather not have it anywhere else because of expense but also because of the specialness it is to have it near us, and in the country. I hope that maybe we can start attending the church as well so that it will be that much more special and we can tell our future kids that the church they attend is the same one there mommy and daddy got married in.
I love you with all of my heart and soul and I can't wait to marry you.

I dont know where you got that from but you have it all wrong.I am st lucian, which is in the caribbean and i know that we do have best men and the works. As nothing else you need two witnesses no matter where you get married. We have traditional wedding like everywhere else in the world. We do have our local dishes yes but there are also italian, french etc.And also there are those who choose to do like people do in Las Vargas.Anyways i dont see your point with that discussion.

If I offended you I meant nothing by it. I did forget to add a question or questions, and I apologize for not doing so. However, the point of the discussion was information sharing. I'm sorry, again as I said if I offended you, and I am glad that you've clarified for me what the weddings in your area are like. I found this information at the link I provided in the discussion, and you can see for yourself that I didn't add or fabricate anything but merely got it from a website.
I hope you have a wonderful day.

It can be expensive to get married in my home country. One of my friends got married in a village church and had her reception at a castle. There was a meal for about 50 guests. It is better value to go to one of the Caribbean islands for a wedding and the happy couple can just take themselves. It is easy to get married on most islands if the couple research what is required like days spent there before the wedding. I think Tobago might be the ideal choice for a wedding. I noticed a number of weddings happen when I was in St Lucia. The tropics are a relaxing and sunny place to be and ever so romantic.

I meant to respond to this earlier after I got an idea of how to respond, lol, sorry it took me a few hours to get back to it as I had forgotten about it. I've heard of when a person wants to get married they have to sometimes go the destination a few days before, or maybe even longer so that, well I'm not sure why but I think it has to do with paperwork and eligibility to be married in that island, probably to do with marriage license as well!
