Who was first person who told you about internet? You remember your first day ?

My aunt Sally got AOL when it was still by the minute... I remember that I only ever got to sit with her and laugh when she was in chatlines... Then later when the price dropped I loved chat rooms and role playing... Now I never chat... As a matter of fact I usually stay away from forums and other chat-ish things... But this is different... and way more entertaining... :)

As a computer instructor I logged onto the internet from work back in 1995 or around then. But it wasn't available to home here at that time. I was at a hockey game with my son and saw a friend I used to work for. He asked me if I was online yet and I told him not from home yet. He told me he had just created an account from home and was online. I gave a call immediately and the next morning there was a package between my screen door and the inside door. They had actually driven to my house and put it there. No waiting for the mail. Pretty cool. I have been online since. My first username was suppose to be 8 characters long but they messed up and I ended up with a three letter username, the only one actually. That was pretty cool and still is when people ask for my email and I tell them it's Jim, they go "Are you sure that's it, mine is 8 characters?"

My friend Herb told me about the internet in 1998. I heard about it before on TV programs, but Herb really told me about it. In 1998 I got my second computer (had my first one in 1995) and got the internet for the first time. In 2004, I got a laptop. I remember my first day on the net, before I got the new computer, was in the library near my Aunt's place.

I do not remember exactly. But the best guess is no one. I found it myself. Saw one internet cafe in 1998. Wanted to know what was it. So just got into it. Paid some money. Default page was msn. then just I moved on.

It was my classmate in college who introduced me to the internet. I had this internet card which we get during enrollment as part of miscellaneous. We don't use it much but this friend was able to convinced me. He taught me how to create an email account in Eudoramail. Then he taught me how to chat of course so i can have someone to email with. lol! It was pretty fun and i got hooked easily. I got addicted in fact that i keep going to cyber cafes everyday after school. I had my first computer the year 2002. It was a Celeron computer. I can't recall though who was my first chatmate.

i know internet started years ago but i have had mine 2 years.i don't know much at all. my friend showed me a little my niece showed me a little i don't know much.i need some one to show me more, but no one has the time.
