Are your decisions easily influenced by what other people think?

I used to be easily influenced by not so nice people, or not so understood people I should say to be polite / frank, but I am not really easily influenced now. If it's the right thing to do, I'm easily influenced, but that's now. I allow people to guide me in the right direction because I am still learning, plus it's a matter of respect as well.
I guess to clarify, I live with my fiance and his parents and the situations I am talking about are about things to do with finances, our wedding, and our future home, etc.

I am as stubborn as they come.. lol.. On a serious note though, I try to be an independent thinker at all times. Knowing who you are and what you stand for are two very important things that contribute to having a happy and successful life. I take into consideration what people say, but if I can't side with their point or see any positive benefit to myself from heeding their advice, then I dismiss it completely.

No. I really think for myself and I prefer thinking for myself. I like thinking about all of my options before I think about what other people are saying or what they think. If I'm really torn about something then I will think everything through before I ask for someone elses opinion and then I'll only ask someone that I really trust that isn't going to give me crazy opinions on the subject. I want straightforward talk.
After I've gone through with all of those avenues then I will evaluate what I think and what they think before I make my decision. And, if I think my decision is the better idea, then I will take my own advice above everyone elses.

I think that I am sometimes affected by other people when it comes to making some decisions, but not always. If I really like something and if I insist on something, then nothing will change my mind.

I do listen to other peoples' opinions, but go with what feels right to me. Your example of someone saying you are too strict if you give your child a piece of fruit is a good example. You know what is right for your child, so you should stick with it. If I tried on clothes and a friend said something useful like 'that would be good for hot weather, but maybe not this time of year' it would make me think maybe it's not such a good idea to buy it, but if a friend said 'I don't like those colours', then I'd just go with how I felt about 'those colours'.

I think I am easily influenced by what people think due to a lot of reasons. One will be is when I was younger my mom didn't teach me all the "girly" stuff like makeup, shoes, accessories, etc. Now at 22 I am clueless about everything and my friends tell me what to wear and what looks cute with what. However if I don't like something I am still not going to get it because they like it.
Also, I have a lot of guy friends so fi they give me pointers like this color doesn't look good or something I tend to listen because I think it is good advice. I mean I am obviously a girl and want guys to like to me so their opinion matters to me as well.
