does it mean anything to you? So they have found this fossil in Germany that is supposed to be the ancestor of primates. You can read about it on History.com. Does this discovery mean anything to you? Change your views on Evolution or Religion? What are your thoughts about the discovery. I am a scientist who has done some paleontology work. I think its cool and its always nice when we fine fossils like these that close gaps. I know evolution happens and I have heard every religious argument against. I believe evolution to be a biological fact and delight in new evidence that backs it up.

I´m interested too in these findings. Is this Ida older or younger that our granny Lucy? I most certainly will read about it. I´m an agnostic so these discoveries don´t cause me any problem. But it does pose a problem to me on how people can still take some writings so literally and never imagine something trascendental in a wider sense. This God with a beard is, to me, the kind of God that Lucy or Ida could have worshipped. Thanks for your posting. I´ll go check

Ida is much, much older. Its more monkey like then human like, although it has nails and the beginnings of the traits we will have such as opposible thumbs. It is the ancestor before primates and things like lemurs separated into separate lineages.

God with a beard? Yes he may have one or no he haven't got one. Where do you got that idea? From the painting of Michelangelo? Well that's just a visual representation of God.

This recent discovery is just a skeleton of a lemur. Even the news had confirmed that this has nothing to do with human beings.
