Everyone one does it, weather you want to admit it or not. Someone that walks by wearing god knows what, and you say in your mind, "what the heck was she/he wearing?" a form of people watching. I use to do this all the time and I had a favorite spot to do it at also. Not all the time were my thoughts negative some were very positive that lead to further conversations. What I want to know is where was your spot at? Mine was on the corner of Belmont St. and Clark Ave. in Chicago. If i was bored and wanted to get out of the house on a work night, nothing would beat coffee and people watching.

Hi, I do people watching sometimes only now like when I and my cousins or friends have coffee or snacks in a hotel cafe right across the boulevard where people from all walks of life and even foreigners take a stroll or jog or date. We sometimes make up stories on what they were talking
But back in college, my classmates and I do guy watching because us girls where in a situation where the guys from another department were watching us and really making funny jokes
Well, we can all learn from people who are strangers passing by.

So census says that if you can see them, but can't hear them you make up what they are talking about..NICE!!

I never have a set spot for people watching. I do it wherever is convenient. I'm a writer, so I like to listen in on people's conversations and notice dialect and slang and sometimes I even get some neat little things to add into plots that way. So I like to switch up my places so that it's always different. At the grocery store, in restaurants, fast food places, college campus, etc. That way no one spot ever gets old.

When I lived in Nevada I used to go to the casinos, play the nickle slots and watch people. Their involvement and attention to the machines is so varied it really is entertaining. . .unless you're with someone who seems permanently attached to a machine and you're ready to go. I'm retired now and live in a rural area, so there aren't many people to watch out here.

Hi, Mitchell Welcome to Mylot.
My small office has this big window on one side. If I get tired, bored or restless, I just pull my venetian blinds up and look down on the street. My office building is near a university so there are a lot of people, especially students, walking by.
I like people watching too. I do it all the time, even if I am not in the office. In fact, I like sitting at mall coffee shops and watching people pass by. Ummm, sometimes, I listen to other people's conversations too if I can and their voices are loud enough.
Have a nice day!

I'm horribly unobservant, but when I do peoplewatch, I tend to latch onto the smallest, insignificant detail and remark on that. I like to sit in a park bench and just watch the world go by. I also stand in my balcony (my apartment is on the 7th floor) and watch whatever's going on at the building across (kind voyeur, I know, lol) or at the parking lot below.

People watching is one of the best times to be had for free. I used to go to this club downtown and watch these creepy old guys hitting on all the college girls. It was fascinating to see the variety of reactions...from obvious revulsion to flattered acceptance. There is nothing wrong with people watching. It can give you keen insight into human behavior.

Yeah old people and college chicks would definitely be a sight to see, especially their faces when they realize that they are getting hit on.

I like people watching. It's interesting sometimes to watch and see how people interact with each other and see how people behave around other people or behave when they are alone. Also, I'm always interested in watching how people act whenever they see people watching them and they're unsure as to why they're being watched.

Yes, it's true that people like watching other people. Most people would already judge a person just by the the way he or she looks. However, there are people who seem to overdo themselves just to get attention. Anyway, I also like watching people walk by and go about their business...it's relaxing. :D

Oh I get a kick out of watching people...Where i live the best time to watch is at night which isnt safe exactly just because its a bad area but you get a kick out of a Man in a suit pulls off to the side of the road and watch a hooker come up to him and next thing you know they gone...Of course i seen an interesting night where i did actually have to go in because it was jsut nasty LOL I seen a man drop a hooker off and another pull up but this time the man and hooker didnt go anywhere they was getting there freak on in the middle of the street. That was just nasty. But you see a lot of hookers around here But for some of them you do tend to think to yourself how in the world are they making that much money if they dont even look good? But its still funny to watch them.

The Mall is a great place to people watch and everybody does it. The guys like to watch the girls and the girls like to watch the guys. In groups there are more vocal comments on what people are wearing and who they are with and such.
