Bad Choices and what comes next

We are young parents of three children all under the age of 6 when my fiance had just turned 18 he got into some trouble and got a felony on his record after he was in jail for 9 months he got out and he founf a job which he had for almost 4 years he recently got laid off and now nobody will hire him my question is he did his time and now why doesn't nobody give him a chance all he is trying to do is provide for his family.
