What does the term The Sanctuary mean to you. I was just driving past my shops near my house, and I saw those words, but I didn't know what it meant, what do you guys think it means? What would you say it means to you?

Thats okay, I just wanted your opinion on the matter. The Sanctuary is also a fictional location in the Marvel Comics Universe. I like superheroes, you might be able to tell by my picture. Shelter sounds very realistic.

To me a sanctuary is a safe place. Somewhere you can relax and just be yourself. You dont have to worry about what others think. You dont have to pretend to be anything else.
Sometimes sanctuaries are places where animals are kept because their habitat is being destroyed. The sanctuary protects them.
In a church, the Sanctuary is a holy place to worship God. It is a place to be in the presence of God and commune with Him.

I think I might have a sanctuary put into my house, because I like the sound of your response. I would love to have a place like that. I would hide it in the wall or something and have a secret entrance that no one would ever know about. If you played hide and seek with me, you would lose.

Yes, I would also agree with this statement, I have a game called guild wars, and they have a thing for pets called Zaishen Menengerie, I think it's what it's called, and I think it is just like a sanctuary for the pets, they are all taken care of in there, and you can train, and help them grow. They are safe in this area as well. They would have to be.
