Yes, the photo shows a family of 8 (includes 3 children, 2 men, 2 women and a baby) on a motorcycle. There was this news article which talks about the family using this motorcycle as their means of transport to get from one place to another. There were a series of a few pictures on the whole ride which was taken by a curious passenger on a bus. I had read this news article originally from another forum where I am a member. I felt very strongly on this issue as it is obvious that they are endangering the whole family, especially the young ones. As a parent of 2, I cannot understand how the adults can allow their children to sit together on the motorcycle, when it's obvious that a motorcycle is created for 2 persons. I admit that this is not the first time I had seen such scene, although there aren't as much people as the picture attached. When I went Vietnam around 3 years ago, I did saw lots of motorcycles on the road. There are quite a number of them with more than 1 passenger on the back. There were some with 2 or even 3 passengers behind the rider. There was a few with even 4 passengers (along them were some children), not including the rider. We were quite shocked to see this, and on the back of my mind, I was really thinking about the dangers of riding with so many passengers... I hope that you can share your opinion on this, and if you have personally experience/seen this type of situation.

No, I haven't seen 8 persons on a motorcycle, but I have seen 5 persons on a motorcycle including husband wife and 3 children. Riding motorcycle with 4 persons is very common in some states of India like West Bengal and Bihar although it is against the law to ride a motorcycle with more than 2 persons.

Oh, you had also seen such scene before. It's really sad to see that people are doing this although it's against the law... They are putting everyone in their family in danger. How do you feel about this?

That is just crazy! I am impressed that the motorcycle was still able to move with all of those people on it! I am not at all a fan of motorcycles. I will not drive one. I will not even ride on one when there is only one other person. I know too many people who have been in motorcycle accidents. Many of them where doing something stupid - like speeding or weaving in and out of traffic - but that isnt always the case. My high school teacher was hit by a car while he was on his motorcycle. His leg was shattered between his knee and ankle. It was a whole year before he could walk at all again. I understand that people need to get from place to place, but that is just scary! I hope I never see something like that!

Yes, I do agree with you. The main driver who is controlling the whole motorcycle had to be very "skillful", and everyone had to be co-operative in helping to get the motorcycle stable. When I personally saw the scene in Vietnam, I was already quite shocked. Thus, when I saw the series of the pictures they had taken on this family, it really makes me feel very shocked, as well as "angry" in the sense that they do abuse the motorcycle in this way... I'm also not a fan of motorcycles as well, and will prefer not to ride in one as well. I had seen motorcycle riders weaving in and out of vehicles, and it's just too scary...
