It is not about any religion or about traditions - its about "relations." The reasons, why we have a family devotion - like reading bible stories, praying together or singing...is to build meaningful and strong relationship as a family. there will be lots of competitions in our spending quality time with our family...and the best way to be together is the family devotion. here, we can talk our heats out, our kids can express their hurts, disappointments and even dreams...you see, we find freedom to relate and just be who we are "together.." what about you? do you have a family devotional together?

No, I have never had anything like that, either growing up or with my husband and children. I wish we had, even if my husband hadn't wanted to partake it's something I could have done with the kids. That's one of the things I have regrets about. Shame we can't go back and re-do these areas.

We too, have a family devotional time. It becomes harder to do on a regular basis when your kids get older. Sometimes they will out in the evening with their friends and not home, but we still try to sit down and read the bible together.
