is it safe with gmail?

It's not just gmail but any email addresses can be hacked in... That's not to say anybody with a laptop in a basement can do it... Almost all email addresses are "web-based"... Only thing your computer is doing is taking what's on a server & download it to your computer hard drive - via email program -... I used to use verizon email account & I used to access my emails from office computers by logging on to verizon.net... Samething with aol, yahoo, or anyother email addresses... That being said, gmail is no more or less safe than any other email providers out there, or at least no more or less than well known & established companies... I know that gmail offers pop3... I have a gmail account myself & I have set my computer up so that I get my emails downloaded on to my laptop & emails in that account automatically gets erased...

I save emails with my yahoo address, so I imagine it's the same with gmail. I have an address at gmail, aol and msn...but mainly use yahoo. I've never saved anything with the others. Why don't you try to save just anything there, and see what happens? Or else, just change your email to yahoo if you're not sure. LOL!

I have used gmail more than one years, I think it is safe.maybe for I have no important information. some people doubt that gmail is unsafe. There are news reports, Gmail exits security vulnerability,intruder can logon in mailbox without password. you do better use some charge mailbox if you have important information.
