thanks for the tips. I haven't had that ever but lately i have been hearing a lot about it on television and here and there. Think I should give it a try. They say it's good for bones and for skin as well. Some people apply it in their hair. :s

I never try to eat aloe vera, but I have try aloe-vera juice once. I was just curious to try it when I saw one in the supermarket because I don't usually see aloe-vera juice in supermarkets and never heard someone had it. It wasn't taste bad, but its just odd when drinking it because there are some big chunks of aloe-vera in it, lol. I think I'll check again in the supermarket and buy one.

I do grow aloe vera and have used it for burns, scrapes and other external boo-boos, but have never eaten it straight from the plant. I've seen a processed aloe vera liquid in stores and have drunk that before (to help with my stomach problems). I'm not sure if it helped your grandmother live to such a ripe old age, but it probably didn't hurt.

At one time, I thought Aloe Vera was for external uses only, until a friend from Jamaica told me his family drank the juice. And I think since I met him, I can count on one hand the number of times he has been sick, and I've known him for years. At first I didn't believe him but a lot of herbs and roots can be used both internally and externally...so I guess it really isn't that unbelieveable.

Someone has recommneded to me to drink aloe vera juice before chemotherapy treatments to help avoid the nausea. They said their brother would drink this mixed with orange juice before his treatments and he never got sick. I did not try this because it did not sound good to me. I think of aloe as good for the skin, outside of body, not inside. But maybe it does work.

I just started a cleanse today and it involves drinking the aloe vera. It really doesn't taste to bad I guess I'll get used to it. I have read where aloe has many benefits, but I did use to think that it was only for external use. I started using products not long ago that are made with aloe and I have to say I'm very impressed with the way it makes my skin look. The aloe vera jelly cured my daughters problem she had on her feet when prescription medication couldn't.
Aloe is a good thing.
