Hows the economy crisis effecting your children?

I hope your husband will have a job soon. Goodluck with that. More or less, my oldest who is 5 years old noticed why we are not going out to eat on the weekends anymore, why she doesn't get toys anymore if we go to a store or why we didn't drive to Florida to spend the holiday with her grandparents (this was the time when gas was $4/gallon). She was asking if we can go to Seaworld this summer but I already told her we can't because we don't have a budget for it. As early as now, I already am telling my daughter about certain things like saving and why Daddy needed to work overtime or sometimes work on the weekend instead of spending it with us. Although, I don't divulge everything to her but she got an idea and I am instilling in her to be thankful and be content of what we have at the moment.

well, hubby and i have our jobs still but he has taken a pay cut so we are not doing as much as we used to do. i hope with our couple of garage sales that we can make a little bit of money to go out for ice cream. we will go to the beach still (its free for us) so thats good.
