my second daughter had speech problems when she was about that age she would point at what she wanted. she attended speech therapy classes and a speech patholigist would come to the house every friday she now talks about what ever pops in her mind.

All three of my children have been in speech therapy (ST) since they were a year old, they were 9 weeks premature and had some other issues as well. First let me say that having a child in ST is nothing to be ashamed of, you are doing what you can for your child by providing her with the services that she needs to be a success in school and life. ST is a wonderful thing.
A few tips on things you can do to make sure that your child gets the most out of ST You need to be at ST as well, you should be learning from the therapist, what she does, what you can do the rest of the week. Remember ST is one hour a week, maybe two, you have 168 hours a week to help your child and make sure that she is learning as she should. The goal of your therapist should be to teach you what to do the rest of the week, if she is not doing this then ask her, tell her you want things to work on, ways you can help your child.
Some small things you can do.
Say you are walking with your child in the store, make a point to list three to five things on each row in the store you go down. For example you would use one word phrases to name them.
Bread then pause (count to five) say Bread again
if she is having a hard time with certain letters you would say words with those letters very slow. Draw them out, almost as if you are from the south (haha)
for example my son has a hard time with S words so when he says lippery. I say Douglas SSSSLLIPPERRYY
and then I count to five and say SSSS lipery
if you elabarate on what is going on with your daughter I will tell you what worked for us.

i also know a kid having speech problem and she's already four years old right now but she can only do screams.. i know that it is curable but her parents do'nt even bother to go to a doctor to do chek ups on her.. i'm worried to what will happen if she'll get older. will it be cured by time or will only get worst. i wish her parents wil finally realize that their doing harm to the child by not giving her proper medication.
