Cell phones have been around for quite some time. When cell phones were first introduced they were simply a way to communicate with someone when you were not at home. Ever watch the Fresh Prince of Bel Air or Saved by the Bell? Will and Zack used to have the biggest phones ever. Now-a-days cell phones have become peoples primary means for living. Without their phones they wouldn't know what to do. People are spending up to $600 on some high tech phones. Don't get me wrong, If I could afford it, I would have a nice looking phone too. Unfortunately for me, I just have a Razor. But im beginning to wonder are cell phones becoming too overrated? Are they more of a show off now than a means to talk and pass messages?
What do you think?

They are WAY overrated. I dont have the Best phone in the world but it works for me and does exactly what i need it too and thats all that really matters to me honestly. Some people do get phones to show off. Younger kids these days get phones to be "cool" so to speak or use the excuse as "all my friends have one" lol but i never really cared for them and still dont even though i have one.
