a british philosophy professor who has been called the world's most influential atheist now says that he believes in god. in an online preview of an interview sch-
eduled to be published in the journal philosophia christi, 81 year -old dr.antony
flew said that he had to go where the evidence leads. according to flew, this evidence includes recent scientific discoveries in the fields of cosmology and physics. additionally, the findings of more than 50 years of dna research have pro-
vided materials for a new and enormously powerful argument to design. even the bib-
lical account of genesis chapter one might be scientifically accurate. so, is he
ready to become a practicing christian? it's very unlikely , he says. however, if i wanted any sort of future life i should become a jehovah's witness. open for dis-
cussion!

I think maybe some people panic about being atheist when they get old, and decide to hedge their bets! Didn't Malcolm Muggeridge become a Catholic when he was old after being an atheist for years?

Malcolm Muggeridge was a Christian for long long time, but lost faith in God and turned atheist later. But after having seen life later came back to God. I think his choice was made after having examined what each belief system did to man. I think he could buy atheism after having seen what it did to mankind.

Till recently he remains a theist, but not Christian. I saw one video where his friend Gary Habermas interviewed him, which was followed by discussion with N.T. Wright, one of world's most renowned New Testament scholar. In the video Flew also defended himself from the attacks of Dawkins. Flew in his prime days was no doubt the undisputed atheist no. 1 in the world.

It's only fair: When God needs answers he turns to an atheist! Of course, when it comes to "future life", we know only Mormons are going to Heaven (South Park).

Is this a copy-paste discussion? Because this news has been an old-age news. On the other hand, I heard that Flew was impressed by the idea that there has to be some kind of a designer but he admitted that he's not a Christian. I don't know what's his status right now as a believer.
