If you found a lost mobile phone, would you try to return it?

So, if you found a lost mobile phone from the mall, or restaurant, or other places, would you try to return it to the owner? Or you rather keep it yourself? Unlock the phone, and you can get an extra one. What would you do?

I'd try to return it or just wait for someone to call it and tell them that the person lost it. They could call their number and arrange to meet somewhere to give it back to them. In this day and age there's no way to get away with being sneaky with a cell phone because everything is logged somewhere. If I lost my phone I would hope that someone would try to get it back to me. If not, cancel the service and get a new phone. I don't have insurance on mine because I see it as a waste of $48.00 a year - that's one months service for me.

I don't prefer keeping others mobile. I definitely find the owner if i get a lost mobile. I know the difficulties when you lost your phone. Its very difficult when you loose your contacts, phone and connection.

Hello, Yes I would do my best to try and return it to the rightful owner. If I wouldn't know who lost the phone, I would just go over to a local police station and give it to them maybe and let them find who ever lost the phone. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

i definitely would return that phone. no thinking twice. i have two phones and though not high tech phones i still think that cell phone models go passe so i don't see any reason to have hots for a phone not entirely mine.

I would return it as long as I can. and I did so before. The owner was found later though I didn't receive any thanks from her. It's ok with me.

I already experienced it. It happened years ago when I was still in college. I found a cellphone inside the ATM booth. I tried my best to return it to the owner. The owner was very thankful that I returned her the cellphone.

Actually this happened to me before. I was in a department store - Kohl's. I was in the dressing room with my children and I found a cell phone on the floor in there. Once my children were done trying on their clothes I took it back to the customer service/credit department of the store. That way if the person came looking for it or called it then the store would have it to give it back to them. Sometimes you just know what is the right thing to do and sometimes it feels like maybe you are being tested by God or something. I just always prefer to be honest and do the right thing. If God forbid I should lose my phone I would be so happy if someone were to turn it in. Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

I would probably not take it, I don't think I will take an effort to find its owner. I am sure that I won't steal it because used mobile phones are very cheap! Lol. Once my friend's brother got a phone on street, he talked to the last called number and went to the person's house and returned it.

So, i will keep thinking deeply. How about if my cellphone itself has lost? I must very confusing, upset, mad, desperate, etc. Because the cell phone i own is the part of my life. So, think about it, rather bring back to its own. Its a must!

I'm not much for free phones, so I'd return it. Not only do I feel myself morally obliged to do so, but I'm not one who likes to get a phone every few months.
