Yesterday afternoon I went to my favourite Sushi restaurant for lunch. It's just a block from my apartment, so I can easily walk there, especially now that the weather is so NICE!! It's Summer at last!!!
Anyway, one of the dessert options at the all you can eat Sushi place was mango ice cream with a tempura banana in it. OH YUMMMY was that ever good!!
Anyone else out there like mango ice cream?

I like mango ice cream, especially when they have the mango fruit bits mixed in it. This was one of the things I was craving for during the first semester of my pregnancy. It's sweet and creamy and fruity all at the same time.

Yes, I like Mango ice cream and I would think it created a good, tropical flavour with the tempura banana. However, when I go to my local Thai restaurant which also serves Japanese food, I like to have my tempura banana drizzled with toffee sauce and served with Cornish or Coconut ice cream. You're making me hungry now! lol.
Brightest Blessings.

Have to admit I've never tried it. I've only had mango's a few times, they were ok but when I can afford ice cream it's going to be something I know I love - strawberry, chocolate, or mint-chocolate chip normally. If I do get the chance though I'll have to try it.

Love it, love it. Yumm! Yumm! It's one of my favorite ice cream flavors--mango, strawberry, and macapuno (a special type of coconut). They sell it here in the Asian shop but it's too expensive especially the one from the Philippines. Otherwise I can buy the other mango flavored ice cream in other shops but I wouldn't want them. They use the type of mango that I would never eat back in the Philippines.

Oh wow that is a flavor I have not had in a while but it is some GREAT ice cream. Make sure it is not a sherbert or something like that but REAL ice cream... I also love vanilla with berries (blueberries, strawberries, etc...) mixed in with the ice cream.
Never tried it with real mangoes but I am sure that would taste pretty awesome too.
Thanks
Zelo

I adore mango flavor.
I don't think I've ever had mango ice cream, but I've had manga sorbet/sherbet before, and it was at a japanese restaruant, too. It was soooo good!

I like mangos and I like ice cream. It sound good, I must try it this summer if I come across it. I do not think it is a popular flavour here in Canada but I am sure it can be found.

im the only one that likes mango ice cream here and its bad since when buying ice cream all of them wants chocolate, versus me who wants mango... so chocolate always win...

I had mango and passion fruit ice cream by haagen-dazs...they did a limited edition and it was really good. I would definitely have mango ice cream again it's much better than mango sorbet. I think mango deserves a more creamy texture than sorbet...

No, I've never tried that flavor of ice cream before. It sounds really yummy! Was it artificially flavored or naturally flavored? Mmmmm! And a tempura banana? I never even knew you could make a tempura banana! That sounds so incredibly delicious! I will have to check at my Japanese/Sushi restaurants here and see if they carry that!
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

Well yes, mango ice cream is famous in the Philippines... we grow mango trees here and export mango fruit to other countries and yes it's one of Filipinos' favorite ice creams... you should try the fruit though... nothing beats the real fruit!!!!
