I am now encountering a strange time with my computer. I hope that somebody here can help me. I turned my computer on and click on my web browser (IE) My homepage Yahoo did not appear but a black screen with red writings on it saying "Red Tube" which appears to be a sexually oriented website. I clicked on the upper toolbar of my computer and I cannot even find the yahoo web address there. I tried to click on the homepage button but it keeps coming back to the Red Tube website. on the topmost part of my screen now it says "myLot - Long Live Sowar!!! and even when I was able to open the Yahoo homepage it says the same thing "Long Live Sowar!!!!" What is it? Is this a virus??? I have never experienced this before. And I swera I am the only one using this computer for a long time now. I can't figure what's happening. Help!!!

Well there is your problem right there, using Internet Explorer! It has loads of security problems so maybe try moving on to something such as Mozilla Firefox? Much better. In terms of helping you out with this problem I suggest checking out what spoiledbrat802 above has to say. They seem to know what they're talking about! If it doesn't work though you can always set your computer back to an earlier date when that problem didn't exist, but that also sets files n' other things to an earlier date as well. Get a better virus scan/firewall security stuff? That's about my only other suggestion I could think of!

Hi Louie. How can I set my computer to an earlier date? I think I will do that. I can't properly do Spoiled's instructions. I feel like an idiot. I really don't know how to do it. I tried several times.

Well, if you're on Windows it should automatically be making "restore points" as they call them. Start-All Programs-Accesories-System Tools-System Restore. Then it's pretty simple how to go through there to set it back to an earlier date(The thing is you have to determine what date exactly is the time that you started having these problems.). I know of another way to do it but it's a bit more complicated so if it doesn't let you do that i'll try to figure out how to do that other way again, Another quiok suggestion if you're not quite ready to jump back to an earlier date with your computer is to uninstall any recent software you may have installed, and uninstall any recent modifications you might have added to your browser such as to change the look or just some other type of ADD-on as well as uninstalling any suspicious looking files you don't remember adding to your computer. If doing all this still doesn't work in fixing it up you should do the restore points. If you're still having the problem after using a restore point in the past I can walk you through how to completely uninstall Internet explorer and how you can get a fresh up to date copy of it(which should basically kill off whatever bug you have.) annnddd. I have a few ideas after that if all of what i said above fails. lol,

Hi Louie. I did the instructions that Spoiled has given me. I tried my best to make it work even though I was not sure if I was doing it correctly, lol! Anyway, I also did an advanced search of the virus and I detected 3 infected files. I deleted these files and deleted them as well in the Recycle Bin. After that I made a scan and there was no more infected files. Despite all these my browser still says "Long Live Sowar!" I did the Restore System but the browser still says the same thing. My web designer friend gave me a link ( I should post it here later) to a blog which discuss this browser problem, I came to a conclusion that my computer was virus free but the remaining problem was merely about the browser. So, finally, I changed my web browser to Firefox Mozilla! Now, my computer is virus free and I have a lovely web browser. Thanks for all your help here MyLotter friends!

This is definitely a spyware attack together with a virus script running program. This malicious has been so long and there are many ways on how to remove this attack on your computer. Just browse the internet for more info. Or either you can ask help from computer experts. Try scanning your computer with a anti-spyware and an anti-virus program. Be sure to backup your data first if you proceed to formating your computer. This is just an easy program, i know you can handle this. --PaLs--
