I think that telemarketers somehow KNOW when we are in the middle of dinner!
Honestly, I don't think telemarketing is a very good way of reaching people. If I want to do business with a company, I'll call them. But no matter how annoying the call is, I don't believe it's okay to be rude or hateful.

No, and I really wouldn't dare to nowadays. There are too many scams going around. You don't really know if the company is calling or if it's just a con artist looking for personal information.

Yeah the problem is when we work in that and we receive calls from those companies... If we work as a telemarketeer we have to be always prepared to answer other we on the opposite phone line... That other we can be very nasty to people bothering us in the middle of dinner...

I must say that telemarketers have a pretty bad reputation going. That doesnt make their lives any easier. But they do ever so often pick the worst time to call, just when you are about to tuck into your favorite meal or when your two year old is having a little tantrum.so when the phone rings, guess who cops it..
personally though, i have never been rude to a telemarketer. i listen to what they are selling and if im not interested, i try to be assertive yet polite and let them know i am not interested.after all, they are people too who are just doing their job

I've done telephone research, and people think I'm trying to sell something. It is a way for people to work. I think it is a good thing, but people should not be so rude. I hate to cut people off, but I do and tell them I'm not interested after hearing what the offer is about. You never know, they might give you money for that phone call. Be nice, They're just making a paycheck like you. (to the people who are rude)

I would have to say that I'm not fond of telemarketers.. a waste of my time. lol They would not answer my "hello" right away and I would repond with something like, "are you going to talk or not?, you're the one that called ME".. and then they'd just usually hang up on me.
