well it's like almost everybody is inspiring to get out of the country. , so what about us who are still here, what's our staying power? For me business is my staying power, being the boss instead of the other way around when you are in another country I also love the layback style here.. hehe.. you can say i'm lazy so I wouldn't survive in other country,... so i'm staying... how about you?

My slippers would never feel so good unless it is standing on the Philippine grounds.

I choose to stay not because it is my comfort zone. I will stay because I know despite all the poverty of all and the greediness some, there is still hope for a good change.

right! it is our comfort zone, so why leave? if we have everything here.. and we can be just us...no pretensions of who we really are and no discrimination because of our skin color..

The Philippines is my home.. I work in the UK for half the year but will always head back to Cebu. The UK is so wrapped in red tape its virtually impossible to operate a business aswell as the fact tax is out of control. Could you imagine giving up 70% of what you earn to the government? Well when you add all the hidden taxes together thats about as much as the UK government squeeze out the tax payer. In the Philippines although there is a lot of poverty there is also the fact you can live for less than a quarter of what I need to live in the UK. The biggest difference being that the Philippines has beautiful weather, friendly people, easy to start a small business and cheap accomodation..

that' s a good point.. here if you pay your taxes fairly at least it would go to our fellow citizens , well hopefully most of the time.. here you can open up a business and pay a little less, you are even exempted for five years , well depends on the magnitude of your business. .... i guess it's cheap living here that's why many foreigners likes to go here ...

The cost of living isnt as cheap as it used to be but the business aspects do bring people to the Philippines although would get more if the corruption reduced and kidnap ransoms stopped.

My career is here in the Philippines and I am not receiving offer to work abroad. It is also a blessing that I am earning enough to sustain our daily living expenses. My comfort zone is also here in the Philippines.

maybe earning enough here is also my staying power... i guess going to the other country requires a lot of adjustment and it's like building a life all over again... when we already have a life here in the Philippines so I guess I'm sticking here..

hi! I love to stay here but things change in the future if given a chance I am willing to move to other country. One thing i can say is that here in Phlilippines almost all of the residents are hospitable.
