I am not bad at speaking English even though I am not an expert. I can manage it. But most of the times, I feel bored or tired while reading long discussions. But some people write long discussions but they present it in a precise manner so that it will never make the readers feel bored.
I love such type of discussions.

The first thing i want to tell you is that please don't consider yourselves bad. It's not a fair Idea. If you used to continue this practice, then you will lose your hope and confidence in yourselves.
You are not poorer than anybody. You can practise better writing in mylot itself. But keep posting useful discussion and comments. It would be nice if you recheck your discussion or comment twice or thrice before posting them so that you can correct your mistakes if any.
Especially in the case of correction of Grammar mistakes, it would be greatly helpful.
Just follow the practice and you will surely notice the difference in your writing skill with in days.

I start to read all the discussions, but if I find it is something I'm not interested it, I will stop reading and go on to the next.
I am no interested in wrestling, soap operas, American Idol, lots of other TV shows, cricket, soccer, lots of other sports, etc.
so, doesn't matter if they are long or short, if its something I"m not interested in, I stop.
I wish when I get notifications from mylot it would tell me if the discussion is in a certain topic as well as what they wrote.... hmmmm, maybe that'll be a suggestion they'll take up....

I do not like reading discussions when the background does not lead to the topic and when they are trying to get you to feel more sympathetic then you would normally do. I mean if it is about a recent event, I do not mind but I do not want to read the entire history of how someone struggled. I am interested in politics as it applies to the present situation and some Tv shows, but I do not keep track on what actor plays who or whether she divorced her husband. But it mainly what we call the rants that I do not like. Make them so we get what is in them. I do not need to read the whole history at one time.

I agree with you. I also don't like reading long discussions as I feel like it's wasting my time and we don't get to earn by reading long discussions so I just move on to the next discussions. Long paragraphs disappoint me.

If it is something that interests me, is well written, and has relevant information, I will read it and likely respond to it regardless of length. If It starts to bore me, I move on to something else. No big whoop. The great thing about mylot is you DON'T have to read things that don't interest you, nor do you have to respond to them, simply move on and find something that is interesting to YOU. With so many users here, it's hard NOT to find SOMETHING that will hold your interest and be fun to participate in!
