no stars will never effect your payrate.it just shows that your postings and comments are nice in view of mylot.com.it is just a type of ranking the people.it never effects the pay rate.

Please read the FAQs: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx We are told: 'The DRS (Discussion rating System) is factored into our proprietary earnings algorithm, so this will help us properly reward valuable contributions to the myLot community.' Maybe you should reconsider your response

Your star is just your rating, and it really doesn't affect your earnings one way or the other. It is the posts that count, and if they are of a high quality and stick to the discussion at hand. The rating on your star can flucctuate, as mine has a few times. I really don't worry about it though, as I am not here for ratings lol. The thing of it is the ratings are just what other users give you, whether it be positive or negative. I hope that this has helped you. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Thank you, I am still trying to figure out how this whole thing works. But I like it here, so I think I'll stay. :) and I will learn more as I go right? I wasn't sure if it effected pay or not, so thanks for clearing it up. Everyone thanks.

I really dont think they do wich I never even thought about this. But it would be kind of dumb if they did affect on how we make money since we dont even know what the stars mean and they keep changing a lot for no reason wich I dont understand why they keep changing.

No-one knows how much we are paid except myLot and they tell us this is the Guidelines. They also tell us that the stars DO influence our earnings: 'The DRS (Discussion rating System) is factored into our proprietary earnings algorithm, so this will help us properly reward valuable contributions to the myLot community.' from the FAQs: http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq17.aspx

Hi, imajerseygirl. As you can see, I haven't got a star up to now. And my friend told me that the bigger the number in the star is, the more you will get paid. I don't whether it is true. But, netpays says it won't make any difference on the effect the pay rate. Oh , I do hope he is wrong. But who knows. I do hope to get a star and to check who is right. :D

I do know that once you get (100 posts) you earn your star. It just I was at 9 yesterday, and I didn't read a post right and responded, someone corrected me, I apologized and now i at an 8.
