Ridicule is nothing to be scared of

So Adam and the ants said, do you agree? Do you care if someone makes fun of you? Does it bother you? Do you worry that people will mock you? Or are you one of those people that don't care? So many people I know say they don't care, but they clearly do! DO you?

Nobody likes to be ridiculed, but I always defuse the ridicule by saying something like, 'You must be a very insecure person if you have to ridicule other people in order to feel good about yourseld. I feel sorry for you.' Then I walk away.

hi 3cardmonte, The words we say can build or destroy the ego or the personality of the person we are talking with, that is why we need to watch what we are saying or trying to imply. Ridiculing person is so mean and may not give good result, For me if someone tries to say something bad or ridicules me I will try to stop or reprimand him or her immediately in a respectful manner, if he/she doesn't want to stop, then it is up to him/her. He/she will reap what he/she sow. They are the uncontious who doesn't know how to deal with their own self. What we need today is to learn to love others as you love your self don't do unto others what you don't want others to do to you.

This is not a problem for me. I make fun of myself because I find myself being ridiculous at times. If others ridicule me then there must be something which they see and I don't. Cheers!!
