whenever I make up a house warming gift I always go for the little things, I buy and basket, maybe it could be a laundry basket or something that can be used afterwoods, even a plastic storage crate, and fillit up with lots of little necessities that they will use, I always start off with a muti electric power board, and then put anything that is used around the house like soaps, cleaning things, toilet paper, sink plugs, light bulbs, lots of things all seperately wrapped, but then maybe one lice little personal thing as a good luck thing.

Lilaclady has a great idea ! Another thing you might want to do is find out what color's the rooms are in their apartment . That way you can get things in the right color's for whatever room it will go in . Find out what the couple needs.
They might need small kitchen appliances or kitchen or bathroom towels or whatever . I'm sure you will come up with a perfect gift .

its all those little things that end up costing the most in the end if it was all added up and it will be the most useful present they get, I promise..

You can give them a photo frame they can display on their living room or bedroom.

Hi there, what a treat to share with your good friend! A new home... when I got my first place, I could only afford the necessary things and yearned for the nice things that added a touch of love and comfort... From there on out, anytime I had the chance to share in the excitement of a new home, I always went for things like candles, room fresheners, sets of hand towels, picture frames and flower vases.
My home is always filled with candles; there's just something about a favorite scent that contributes to the feeling of 'home'
Also, sets of wicker baskets are nice to give... You can get nice 3 or 4 piece sets that have different sizes, colors and accents to give flexibility in uses.
Best of luck to you and your good friend!

Well it all depends on what they have already. You should try and find out what they need. It's the best way to be safe in buying a house warming gift. You don't want to show up with something they already have. Good luck!
