In my opinion Adam Lambert is the American Idol. I know he didn't win it officially, but I honestly think that he deserved to. I commented on someone elses question that I wished Kris Allen Good Luck, but I believe that Adam will have an amazing career. I think Adam's star will outshine Kris's. To sum it up I think America got it WRONG. Yes, I did vote for Adam from the beginning

I was originally voting for Danny Gokey so when he got voted off I began voting for Kris. So in my personal opinion America got it right. I do think Adam was very talented but I think the judges pushed him way to hard. Such as Paula Abdul telling him he WAS the next American Idol. Just maybe America wanted to prove the judges wrong. In other words, I think if the judges hadn't been so biased towards one contestant maybe the results would have been different.

I was a Danny fan also, he and Adam were the most consistant performers to me. I also like Allison. Anyway, I guess I am just biased against Kris because I wanted him to go home a long time ago. I thought that there were other contestants who were better than him that got sent home while he stayed. I also understand why so many people liked him. The thing is it's supposed to be a singing competition, but when it comes down to it I don't think that most people vote for the best singer. I think that we(including me sometimes) vote for a lot of different reasons that do not have anything to do with if the can carry a tune better than the next person. I think it was wrong if people didn't vote for Adam just because the judges praised him, they were only giving credit where credit was due.

I do believe that Adam will out sell Kris and that is because Adam is an amazing performer. He rocked up there on that stage with Kiss and out Kissed Kiss. He will do really well.
As for weather or not America got it wrong or right, that can be looked at in different ways. Is Adam more marketable, yes. So he will do fine no matter what place he came in on American Idol. Kris is sweet, cute, likable, and has a nice style and voice. But it will be more helpful for him to have won. Adam won weeks ago, now Kris will be able to shine as well. It works out really well if you think about it. It will be another Ruben and Clay type situation. The way it worked out will be beneficial to both Kris and Adam. I like them both, I will buy both of their CD's

I never thought Kris was a good singer. From the beginning I thought he should have went home. There were some wonderful contestants who I thought sounded better than Kris who got sent home when I thought he should have been at home.I really hope that everything works out well for him, but he did not when me over so I will not support his career. I do wish him the best of luck though.

We absolutely got it right! Kris got off to a slow start but he has been nothing short of amazing the last five weeks. He took a huge risk with Falling Slowly in movie week and never looked back. He has had the most original arrangements, taken the biggest risks with his arrangements and he has a huge artistic range. He plays four instruments and has a beautiful voice. And his falsetto, which everyone praised Adam for so highly, was very strong and on pitch 95% of the time. I'm not saying he was never sharp but most of the time he was on pitch even in the higher notes.
Personally, I thought Adam was boring. He did change a lot in the vocal lines of the songs he chose but the underlying melodies weren't changed much. His falsetto, if you want to call it that, was sharp more often than it was on pitch. Mad World was absolutely, hands down his best performance of the season because he kept it in the middle register where his voice was the strongest. Those high notes he stuck into every other song were almost screechy.
Even with all of that, I think the judges ultimately are the reason Adam didn't win. They played him up so big and fawned over him so much that I think the people who didn't vote for him from the beginning, the Allison fans who thought he was okay, or the Danny fans, decided he had it no problem so they didn't bother to vote.
Speaking from a musical background and as someone who listens to one of the most vast varieties of music you'll probably find, I honestly and objectively think Kris was the better choice. I didn't expect the rest of the country to agree with me, I truly thought the top three was going to be Danny, Allison and Adam. But I am ecstatic with the way it worked out.
