Usually, i still eat the skin of a fruit even thought i know it may contain certain chemistry. I just likes to eat the whole fruit, like apple and pear. I feel eating fruit without the skin seems tasteless. If the skin of a particular fruit looks dirty or dull, then i prefer to peel-off the skin before eating it. But, recently, i had ate less those fruit where i can eat their skin as well. I prefer to eat watermelon, oranges and papaya because the weather in my country is very hot..

I eat some with skin, and some without. Some fruit have skin that is not easy to digest. If I am going to eat the skin then I wash the fruit really well. I like to grow my own fruit, too.

Hi,my dear friend, I used to eat the whole fruit without peeling. I have learned from magazines that the skin of the fruit is very nutritious. Now the chemical pollution has caused wide public concern all over the world. The agricultural chemicals may soak and remain in the peel. As a result, I prefer to not eating the skin of fruit most of the time for the sake of security. I think the government should take more effort to solve the problem of chemical pollution which is closely ralated to our daily life. Thank you! Have a nice day!

i always, always eat the fruit with the skin ON
apart from of course bananas, kiwi fruit oranges and mandarines
but fruit like apples, pears, nashis- they are best with the skin ON
the skin is a natural protector of the fruit, and its in the skin that ALL the good nutrients are
its the same when you peel vegetables, cooking methods such as roasting or frying dry out all the nutrients, steaming is always a good way to keep the nutrients there.
the chemical issue is a big one, but the more organic you get your fruit, the less chemicals will be in there. anyway ots the same for most foods- there is always some type of chemical. but if you have to choose between whether or not there is a chemical in the skin, or all those wonderful nutrients?
i know id choose to eat the skin

I have heard that the skin of the fruit has many ingredients that are good for you but I am not in the habit of eating the skin. I prefer the flesh inside rather than the skin. cheers!!

I will eat certain kinds of fruits with skin if I can wash it myself. I bought a specialized brush for cleaning fruits. It takes approximately 5 minutes or more to clean an apple. But consider of the nutritions in the skin, I feel it is all worth. It says that most of the nutritions are in the skin of some kinds of fruits.
However, if the fruit is givin by others I won't eat the skin or even won't eat the fruit. Because rewash it would be impolite and I can't force myself to eat it while worrying if there's any chemical left.

Depending on the fruit, I would take the skin off and eat it without. I actually don't like peaches with the skin and usually take the time to take the skin off. I know that since they spray some chemicals to make sure that there are no bugs to eat the fruit I am very careful of this and eventhough I would wash the fruit thoroughly I still take the precaution.

I always eat the skin of the fruit unless it is an orange or something with a think, peelable skin. You can wash off the skin with soap and water and rinse well and be rid of all the chemicals. If you don't eat the skin, why bother eating the fruit? I hope you'll get over your fear of chemicals and learn to wash your fruit well enough to enjoy all the nutrition from the skin.
