Diabetics can have fruit but they should monitor their blood sugar, on the other hand bread is not that good for diabetics. THink low in sugar, moderate carbs. Pears are also great for digestion as they have the highest fiber count of any fruit at about 4 grams per serving.

Hi charlenmendoza, I am a diabetic and was advised by my doctor to eat most fruit in moderate quantities but totally avoid bananas which are almost pure sugar. White bread is not good and I eat only wholemeal bread. When I bake I sometimes substitute 50 percent of the flour with oat meal. It is healthy and also tastes good. I am very lucky in that I have no problem with my digestive system.

A diabetic can take fruits but which fruits depends on her blood glucose level.Mangoes and bananas are best to avoid as they contain a lot of energy.Fruits like orange ,sweetlime, tangerine ,smallpieces of apple ,papaya, guava, can be included. But fruitas should be taken as whole and not their juices as juices increase the blood sugar suddenly.

My family seems to be afflicted with diabetes but I am not one of them. That is a blessing and I hope I don't get that because I love sweets. Cheers!!

The fruit which is low in sugar are pears and citrus fruits. I think you need to encourage your mom to exercise. Fruit is good for her but she needs to limit her consumption to limit the sugar content. Watermelon, mangoes, and grapes are high in sugar so she need to limit eating it.
