I am a lover of uniforms. And I used to be proud of my school uniform and was very famous for my neat dressing.Even I prefer that uniform brings some order in every office or establishment.I just hate an orchestra without a uniform.I just cannot stand guys in a troupe performing with cloths that will make me color blind.

Uniforms-Doctors - Basically Uniforms were meant only for Defense/para-molitary force only.
Hello my friend riyasam Ji, I like the Uniforms, but not upto primary section. Let children come their own decent ethnic dresses and they will learn more. They will look differ and compare and try to distinguish among lot many varities. But later stage, including profession, a Uniform makes person feel about concern organisation and helps to motivate one's job. basically Uniforms were meant only for Defense/para-molitary force only. May God bless You and have a great time.

Hello my friend riyasam Ji, I some how do not feel children to be brought-up under Uniform pattern, I wish, if they could wear, eat, play, and follow their own activities, which will surely help to find out from the beginning, what they think about future. It will help later on to develop them accordingly. May god bless You and have a great time.

The thing that I did not like about my school uniform was the fact that the girls kilts were too short, and the drinking fountains were too low. Why is it that men have modest clothes like pants etc. but women in uniforms are expected to wear short little skirts? That is not right, in my opinion.

Hi! Riya!I also find it convenient if one is required to wear a certain uniform, it not only brings down laundry bill, but also saves us from keeping so many dresses. Wearing uniform is cool, I believe and though in our office, there is no such provision, however, I wish, there should have been one.

Yeah I can understand you, where I work there are many offices around who has got a dress code and it is a uniform, I so much envy them sometimes as they don't have to buy dresses for the office or shoes whereas I have to and sometimes when I am purchasing something at the shopping mall I just wonder that I was far much better in school uniform ;-)

I hated wearing uniforms and was so glad when in high school we did not have too. It was boring wearing the same tunic every day. My son did not have to wear a uniform either when he was in school.

When I worked in the medical clinics at the hospital, we wore nursing scrubs and it was so awesome. I didn't have to worry about trying to find something to wear, they were easy to launder and I didn't have to iron most of them. I had scrub tops that were multi colored prints with flowers or cartoon characters on them. I could wear them with different colored pants and my pants would go with several different shirts, so I could wear many different outfits. We would also get t-shirts with the hospital logo on them and could wear those with our scrubs.

uniform - Profession in uniform as in army
I always admire those uniformed professions like the army, policeman and nurses. I wanted to be a nurse because I like their white uniform. But unfortunately my dream did not materialize. And I noticed that the nurses are very neat and tidy people. They come and leave the ward spotlessly clean without a drop of stain in their white uniform. Sure it saves so much money from buying clothes when you have to wear uniform to work.

During my elementary days and high school days, I have to wear a uniform. I do love to wear them since it gives me an identity of being a student. When I was in college, there was no uniform requirement. I also like it considering that it somehow gives me the freedom of going anywhere without any problem at all. What I mean is that I can skip classes without getting caught. hahahaha. Well, when I started working, I have to be in uniform since it is very important. I work with our SWAT unit and my uniform includes vest and helmet for protection.

Absolutely yes, I love uniforms in schools. This helps the children to know all are same. When they grew up they themselves will come to know about the human relation ship..

I hate uniforms. i am in college and the authority was trying to introduce uniform and me with other students had a strike to take off the uniform and they had to. I think that people dress according to their character and people express themselves with their clothes. I used to hate it when i had to go to the school in the same set of clothes everyday....

Hi Riya, I simply disliked wearing uniforms to school, I found them so monotonous. You should have seen our school on Saraswati Puja day...our Principal used to say its the day for fashion parade...all us girls used to try and outdo each other in dressing up the latest fashion statement way! the sari was always cool and I bought special accessories to go with it. However, now I do see the airhostesses and the ladies working in 5* hotels and they look so smart and cool and always well dressed. The men in uniform look so handsome too. Regarding my son's uniform well, I have to disagree with you...he has white shirt and OMG how do they get them so dirty so fast?

yup, thats right ,my daughter also has white shirt and a pinnafore and it too gets dirty fast,i make her wear for two days in a row and on the third day,i wash it but then also i find it less tiresome as other dresses as its one less thing i have to think(which dress to wear)

What I DO like about school uniforms is that it puts everyone on the same level. It's not as easy for the more affluent kids to belittle others for example, if all students must wear a standard uniform. As for uniforms in business etc, it's great for brand recognition for one. Air Host uniforms are a great example of this because you can tell instantly which airline they're from just by their uniform in most cases.

that sure is a advantage, students cant flaunt their parents wealth!!as for the case of airhostess,i have fallen in love with jet airways uniform, even the male cabin crew look so handsome, maybe its one of their jobs-they are being paid for being so polite and decent.

I never liked wearing uniforms... even when i was in grade school... i feel they are too monotonous for me... wearing the same color and style over and over again for a year or two... right now... at work... even if my boss bought me a set of uniform... i only wear them when i will attend an important meeting... so on ordinary day... it's t-shirt and jeans for me... or clothes that suit my mood for the day...

It does save on someone having to buy a bunch of clothes. My grandkids in Arizona have to wear uniforms in middle school and I think it's a good idea. That way everyone has about the same thing on and no competition!
