My sister wrote this poem and it kind of fit my mood and the situations occuring all around me. I hope you can relate: "Dreams" Dying wishes that fade. Rare occasions that aren't ever made, Entering a world so untrue. Amazing sights to be viewed, Might or maybe or so untrue. Ericka Gabriel

Wow - fits my mood and situation also. I used to dream about a lot of things but as I've gotten older I only dream of a very few things now.

I know what you mean. I've been feeling a lot like this poem lately. I mean it more than it looks like and when you read it over again, you think about more things and notice that some of them do connect! But don't stop dreaming! That's all we have in this life to keep us going! Unless most of yours have already come true. But even then, dream for others.

It's cute, but a little confused in its take on dreams. Completely understandable that someone should question if dreams are good or bad, but my personal preference is for a little more hope. Tell her: Thanks for sharing and keep writing!

Thank you for the feedback. She also said thank you and she might allow me to post more. But I suggested that she signs up for her own account, but she's not really up for it yet. She'll come around soon, though. Hopefully.

When I first read the poem, it seemed very dark (ominous) to me. Now after reading it again, it seems more about the wonder of dreaming. I guess that just shows that it's a worthy poem, something that can make you think and come away with different interpretations at different times. That's the best sort of poetry to my mind. Tell your sister, "Great Job." What about your own writing?

I felt the same thing the first time I read it but on second reading it gave me 'hope'.

It's always easier to promote your sister's work than your own, speaking from experience. My sister is a great photographer, and I love having other people see her work. I am shy myself when it comes to something like sharing poetry. I did, however, post two of my poems today on Gather. Do you know that site?

Art, my own writing is not something I really thinking or talking about. Believe me, I have two Journals full of stuff, but I'm too cowardly to even think about sharing. I've only shared one of them and you might find it among my many discussions, and the only reason it's there is because i was too lazy to go get my Journal from its location. My sister says thank you, by the way.
