Well it is a know fact that cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, LSD,s etc. are not only harmful but it just kills you.........it has so many carcinogenic effects on the body. there are so many videos which show how our lungs get effected by the smoke and how our liver burns because of alcohol.........then why is it that people accept this slow form of death........ Have they lost the value of life???? Do they have no one waiting for them at home???? I was once myself into this......but i realized it sooner with the help of my family and friends who prayed for me.......i am not enforcing it on you.......just wanted to know what is your reason for taking up these addictions........it is not always related to stress.....it has become a status value and also a style norm for young students....... Check this picture mentioned below........it might change the way you look at things......have a healthy and safe life...... God bless you

The surgeon general has determined, living is the leading cause of dying. If you want to avoid dying, avoid living

well i don't feel that everything that the surgeon says can work for everyone......i have known people who wished to live and have survived for 100 years......its all in the way that you think.......and even if what that surgeon said might be true.......i would die, living.......rather than living to die using such addictive......thanks for your response......tc

i appreciate your thoughts buddy..according to me a person can get into such activity either due to family background,or because of bad company or the most common and real reason..they are unsatisfied and depressed with their lives.. they can't accept their failure in certain field..instead to taking inspiration from that failure they keep on decreasing self confidence.. one fact that you might agree with is a person who is tensed and frustrated feel relax and satisfied(that time) and become used to of this habit... they know they are doing wrong but still they don't want a happy life anymore..we just can worry for them ..can't do anything.. well hope for the best..one day everyone will know what is good and bad for him/her

This is something that I have myself given much thought to and haven't been able to come up with why a person would deliberately take something that is harmful to their body. I myself haven't indulged or plan on doing so in any of the listed things but I do drink socially. I try to eat right and exercise and keep myself in good health and away from toxins such as these which do nothing but deteriorate our bodies slowly. Life is much more valuable than that and we must try to stay away from addictions such as these. Hope this helps, live life to the fullest and make the most out of what you've got. Take care.

I've got crowd of people around me who smoke and drink and they think it's just for fun ,for the high, and the length of being alive not necessarily equals to the quality of life. They're fully aware of the damages that nicotin and alchool do to their bodies but they think everything has a trade-off.
