There were days when people with mobile phones were considered someone great......it was back when the mobile phone were just introduced and cost a bomb......and not all could afford it......and even if they could, it was not possible to buy one for everyone at home....... Today we see everyone has a cell phone in their hands........right from the top level to low level......everyone!!!! When it comes to me......i just cant live without it......i feel so incomplete for the day if i forget to carry my cell phone.......i just keep checking my phone to see if there are any missed calls or messages......and also comes handy in times of emergency situations....... What about you????

We're just so much alike! I cannot live a day without checking my cellphone for text messages or missed calls. It's become a huge part of my life ever since I had a... well, boyfriend. I believe a cellphone is the best communication tool ever made after telephones. It's the best because wherever you go, you can receive messages from friends, family, or relatives. Not like before that you still have to get home just to give someone a call. Plus, it's very useful for emergency purposes. I need it very much because it's my boyfriend and I's main communicating tool. But we meet each other very often, of course. I need it because we live kind of away from each other and it's the most effective form of communication I could ever think of. I cannot say that I'm a cellphone addict but I always freak out whenever my cellphone or sim card doesn't have signal bars. It sucks when it's like that because I still have to go outside just to make a call to someone.

Me too! I always try all sorts of things just to get my signal bars back.. There's this I will turn my phone off then on again. I that doesn't work, I will rub my sim card for minute and put it back again. If still doesn't work, I go outside looking for signal bars. If it still doesn't work then I'll give up and just wait for them to come back by themselves.

I am an 80's child. I remember cassette players and their cute little tape casettes. I remember days when you weren't sitting on your computer or watching T.V. I remember when the days were spent outside playing baseball, swimming or any number of things. It's amazing how much the times have changed and how much I have changed. The truth is my cellphone is attached to my hip. I have it when I wake up and it is plugged into it's charger next to my bed at night. I have the full flip open keyboard so I text, check my email, make calls everything. It's crazy that we've gone from people with very little technology to people who cannot live without it.

yeah same here.......i feel the days have changed dramatically........i sometimes wish that the olden days were back.......it was really fun......although the times then were not so sophisticated.......but still it was good.......too much of technology can kill your time which you spend with others.......coz most of the time you will just send a text message or call up that person unlike the earlier days when we used to give personal visits to the other person.......

I have my phone with me all the time. I need it for work, so it has email, etc. on it. My friends tease me because I am "attached" to it.

I actually remember when mobile phones were just introduced and it was exclusively used by high class business men who needed it to keep in touch with their clients and it was more of a status symbol than anything. But now that they have been more affordable and everyone has a phone. I don't think I would be able to live without my phone and always have it with me. I usually call and keep in touch with close family and friends. I originally got it for emergency situations, which it would come in handy for but I also text my friends and keep in touch with them this way as well.

im so there, i used to not use my phone as much when i had the house phone, but it got to where the cell phones were cheaper to have than having a phone service. i use mine for texting *, calling, sending photos, receiving photos, taking photos, getting on the internet when i'm not at home. my mom tried to tell me that i slept with my phone inmy hand one night and low and behold she had took a picture of me holding my phone out across the pillow and me fast asleep.

Hi, John, me again. Yeah, what can one do without the little bug. It is with me 24/7, but for good reason. Firstly, it is my stay in contact. I also do a bit of banking with it, and it is my only camera. I chose this specific phone just for the good camera function, it does take good pictures. The main reason I have it on 24/7 is because I am waiting for a kidney transplant and the call can come at any time 24/7. It is one call I do not want to miss. Enjoy your mobile, Blessings

I would said, yes it's a part of my life. I think i just can't live a day without my mobile phone. My mobile phone ever got stolen once when i went shopping alone in a wet market. At that moment, i just felt my life is very terrible. I just can't call my loves ones to tell them what had happened to my mobile phone. Luckily, i got bring my credit card along, so i quickly go and bought myself another mobile phone, so i am able to contact my loves ones like usual..At least, i felt at ease..

Hi John.....I do not own a cell phone becasue we have no signal where I live and there is very little signal area around where I live. It is just not a good area for cell phones,so we just keep our landline phone. They are very good to have if you do alot of traveling and you would need them in case of emergency, but I do not travel very far from home so I don't need them for that either. My sister lives in town and all she uses is a cell phone. She has a different ring for whom ever is calling and knows if she wants to talk to that person at that time. They are a great invention, just not feasible where I live. flutterby

Once I've ever tried to just shut up my mbile phone for as long as a month as I wanted to exploit my capacity of living with it.Besides I found out that chatting over text messages was really pointless. I'm happy that I survived that month and I do believe the personal networking should still function on 'human contactings' and most of the informations circulated throughs mobile phones is superficial.

Although I'm not one of those who checks my mobile phone every minute I do feel lost without as I like the freedom it gives me of being able to make a call whenever I want, although not always receiving them! I would be lost without it as I use it for other things everyday. I don't have an alarm clock so I use my phone, I put any memo's in it of things I need to remember, I use the calender so that I have reminders for appointsments and anything else I need to do, calculator, world clock (it's won many an argument in the pub!) and unit converter for money, length, weight and temperature (this too has won many an argument in the pub!) So yes, I need my phone at all times, but not just as a phone
