beach or the mountains????

okay so there is an ever ending debate in my family about driving 7 to 15 hours to go to daytona or to myrtle beach or just staying close and going to the mountains. so which one would you choose if you had the choice for a town house or vacation home. would you pick the mountains or would you pick the beach. or if you was in a place that had both would you do that as well. tell me what you think?

I will always pick the mountains. I am done with the beach. Let me tell you my story. Some friends and I went to the beach. We brought lots of soft drinks. I kept having to go back across the street to the motel room to use the bathroom. One of my friends stopped me and asked why I am going to the motel room. Everyone else is going in the ocean. So I watched and watched and watched. Seems like I was the only one going back to the motel room to use the bathroom. After that, the beach doesn't quite look the same to me. I just can't go swimming in a toilet. If you do travel more than 4 hours, get on a plane. It works out so much better.

Ok I love the beach but I'm only surrounded by mountains so I would go to the beach. However you have to take into account the gas prices and driving maybe 15 hours. Have fun no matter what you decide.

Go to the BEACH! How can you resist? Yea, it's a long drive, but being so far from the beach, I'd have to do it!

I would go for beach... swimming is the best get together among families... you can have bonding moments during the ride..
