I am raised to eat rice for 24 years already. Three times a day. But not anymore. Since I flew here in US there were only time for me to eat with rice once a day or sometimes none. I love rice so much because that's where I used. I am also aware that rice have lots of carbs that causes my belly big . I tried to stop myself to crave for rice but sometimes I am really looking for it. Now my husband told me "i like rice, but I am tired of having rice all the time" That's when I decided to disregard rice for a while because I also wants to lose a little bit fats on my tummy...hehehe Who among you love rice? Brown or white..which one? How often do you eat rice in a week? Thank you!!!

I like white rice. I don't know if the name is different in different languages but I like the sort called jasmin-rice. I eat rice a couple of times a week. I like rice, but when I eat it to often I tend to get tired of it.

I am Chinese, and our main meals are always rice since I was young. But I do not take rice three times a day as you do, usually our dinner is always served with rice, but for lunch, sometimes it's also with rice, but sometimes we do take noodles or bread. I can't take rice in the morning, as I think it's too heavy for me, and I am not used to it too. I know some people like to have rice for their breakfast too. I have not tried stop eating rice for a few days, perhaps it's just a habit for us to have rice everyday. I always eat white rice, and I have not tried brown rice before, though I've been hearing brown rice is much better. I just don't think I'll like brown rice.

Being an Indian Bengali, rice is our staple and I have been brought up on rice for so long that I really dont like it that much anymore. In my in-laws house, its rice three or four times a day...OMG they can have rice any time of the day with anything to go with it. My hubby dear thinks his dinner is incomplete without rice...so there's little option for me to experiment. We have plain white boiled rice with any number of side dishes. A typical Bengali dish at home would consist of rice, some fries, a curry, pulses and fish...its OK to fill the tummy but everyday the same thing does become boring.

Hi there! I like rice very much! I love to eat it when I go to chinese restaurant. Rice with curry and pea is the best! Rice, in my language italian is "riso" and it means smile, so in italy there's a joke saying chinese always smiles because they eat rice :p Right now I want to go to chinese restaurant..it's a lot of time I don't go there. have a nice day ^_^

I like rice too. Although I don't eat much of it. And I did know rice was high on carbs but I never really thought of it being something that might put weight on you. I like rice with my beans and I like it for breakfast with a little milk, sugar and cinammon.

well the staple diet or food of my country is rice.......but somewhere i don't like to eat rice that much.......i like rice if it were used for some special menu like Biryani( Basmati rice cooked with meat gravies and cooked with the steaming method) or many be a Chinese fried rice.........i never like to eat rice with simple gravies, so i prefer some Indian breads like chapati( made out of wheat dough).....and yes i agree with you rice does put up those extra fat on your body........

Hi, i'm an Asian and i'm from Malaysia. Rice is our main dish in daily meals. I like to eat rice, just like you do, and i've been eating it since i was young. Perhaps we've been get used to it after so many years. However, i do not have rive for every meal daily. For breakfast, we usually have bread or biscuits for little of noddles but not rice. I think it is quite heavy for me to have rice in the morning. As for lunch or dinner, usually i'll have rice or noodles once in a while. I prefer to have white rice, and never have brown rice before. I've been knowing that brown rice is better and healthier but i've never tried it before, Perhaps i'll try it in future, haha.

I have a passion for white rice, this feeling attribute to my experience living in the north of China for three years. You know the staple food is quite different from the sourth of China to the north.People lived in the south use rice as their daily staple food and seldom eat flour-made food which is the northlander's favorite. Some southerner even can't stand flour-made food at all,I belong to this group. So you can imagine how slim during my stay in the north and what a favour the rice is refer to me.

I also grew up eating rice twice a day and sometimes including breakfast, but since I get married I don't eat rice often because my Husband is not used to have it all the time, although he also like rice. We eat white rice every other day and some days that we don't! I haven't tried brown rice and I would like to try it one day.

I eat rice everyday. I eat as much white rice as i can because i'm on the process of gaining weight. lol! That's my aim . I think 130lbs is a little too light. I want to be around 150lbs. It's not the i like rice so much. I was just raised to eat rice, like you said. Well my sister quit eating rice for two years now. Quite a feat i think. It's pretty hard because whenever we go eat out, she would just eat the main course and side dishes. Sometimes she would say, it would be satisfying to eat it with rice. She's on a diet and she's maintaining her figure.

The same like you, I eat rice for 23 years, and one day for three times when I was young. I come from countryside. This custom changed since college time, then I try to eat noodles, dumplines sometimes, but not more than 5 times a week. I still remember that Fried rice is one of my favorite food. I was born in the South of China, but study in the Northwest of China. It's different in many things. Now, I eat rice twice a day.

How often do you eat rice??? Hello my friend Jstmarfz, Let me tell you the truth about rice, over here, we eat it maybe one or two times a week. When I fix it myself, we wind up having a almost a full pot of it. But when I order it from the chinese restaurant everyone seems to eat their rice really good. They eat it all up. So apparently the chinese people are using some kind of ingredients that are different from what I am using, which is normally just a little salt and a dash of black pepper. To be honest with you, rice doesn't really taste all that good to me but it is filling when you are hungry, I guess. Oh if you want to cut back on eating rice, you could always start buying the rice cats and eat one whenever you feel the desire to munch on something. Maybe your body just love carbohydrates and that is what rice has in it. But you could get your carbohydrates from eating fruits and vegetables. That is what I'm trying to concentrate more on these days. Cutting back on all fattening and fried foods will surely give you a nice slim figure and your hubby will be so happy when he see a nice slim chick bringing him a bowl of hot steamed veggies over with just a little bit of rice blended in. Good luck!

I eat rice very often because i live here in the Philippines, i have rare encounters with other rice grains like red rice which it has an odd taste in my opinion. I also tried brown rice although it was a sample but it taste good except that brown rice was pricey for my mother's budget (that was so sad), but i'm contented with the white rice veriety.
