we should be what we are. when it comes to dealing with people, deal with each on merit. there is no necessity to be nice with everybody. i am very crude when it comes to dealing with people from religious institution, NGOs who seek donations. i prefer to chase away these parasites.

i totally agree that we should be who we are, but sometimes i feel that i personally am nice to everyone. not for any particular reason just because thats who i am. i've always been such a laid back person that even when someone is being rude i just kind of... go with the flow

I actually don't think it's possible to be too nice for society but I do know that with all the bad people they will surely take advantage of that. I would say to be honest we shouldn't change our true self in order to fit in with society as a whole but we should treat everyone as we see them. If there is someone that is being rude we should be cautious around them and treat them accordingly. We can't have a hard shell for the people that are genuinely nice to us and care for us. We would as mentioned treat this person the way they treat us. This is the key.
