Sequel - Anyone seen it?

Has anyone seen the sequel and is it any good? I own a multi-region DVD player so I'm thinking of buying it on Amazon and getting it shipped here to Australia but I really want everyone's reviews and views on it before I buy it, considering I loved the first one, oh and Ed Westwick is in it {yum!}, I'm probably going to buy it anyway.

I didn't realize it was out yet. At least it's only been out a couple of weeks so I'm not completely behind. Daveigh Chase was Samantha in the original movie so it has that going for it but otherwise.... The original director, Richard Kelly, has made it very clear that he had nothing to do with the sequel and disagreed with it being made, so that, to me, is a major strike against it. I'll probably rent it when it hits the free rack at Hollywood Video (if it isn't already) but I don't have any sort of expectations about it.

I was sort of disappointed with the idea of a sequel, but I agree with you; I'll probably end up renting it when it hits the free rack. I actually didn't know Daveigh's name til I heard about the sequel, I just knew her as Lilo from Lilo & Stitch xD

I own the first one, but haven't seen the second one as of yet. As i'm a big fan of Donnie Darko I definitely want to see this one and i'll probably purchase it on DVD as well. I seriously doubt that they will come anywhere close to the first one in terms of being so amazing, but hey. I'm a big fan of the first one so i'll probably like it either way.

I agree with you there, I think the main reason I'm seeing it is just for Frank and Ed Westwick being in it. I'm a fan of Gossip Girl so I follow a few of the actors from it. It won't be as amazing as the first one is pretty much a fact, but without Donnie; it's not as funny, because the chemistry between Donnie and Frank is what made the original work.

donie dorko is one of d worst movie. not good i saw dis movie. not worth watch.... its just a mad movie. dnt watch it.

As far as i know there has been a sequel to Donnie Darko. Its been named "S. Darko". It features Donnie's younger sister Samantha as protagonist. Donnie Darko was one of the most amazing movie i had ever seen, but "S. Darko" is a total flop. not worth watching.
