How to take backup of bookmarks in firefox

Helo friends i need backup of bookmarks and saved passwords from firefox. How to do it because i want to format my pc without my importents bookmarks

There is a Firefox add-on called Xmarks, you can use that to back up your saved passwords and bookmarks. I use it all the time and it synchronizes hourly, all you do is create an account and then your data is stored on a server. It's a great add-on for Firefox because it never crashes.
