Eversince harry potter came out..more and more books turned to movies are coming out..to be honest I don't know these books until they were turned into movies...never heard of it and no doubt I won't have any interest in reading it...I never really enjoys reading..back in middle high tons and tons of projects were given to us specially in our English subject..well,you know projects dealing with reading book, novels and alot more...I never enjoyed those kind os stuffs.. But when movies like harry potter went out, something in me encourages me to read that stuff coz it seems interesting yet on the other hand..something always comes upand that's "laziness" in me..hahaha.. so what I do is just watch the movie instead...thinking I wouldn't be bored in watching rather than reading hehehe... So are you up to reading or watching?

I like to read the book first and then watch the movie because the book is usually different from the movie in certain aspects. Plus, you can learn and understand the characters and situations much more from reading. You lose a lot of content when the book is translated to film. Watching a movie is a great visual aid, but there are some movies that I wouldn't have liked as much if I hadn't read the book first. Hollywood can only fit so much of a 500 or more page book into a two hour time frame.

Reading is more original and filled with fascination. Watching is just to compare with the text version. There are quite lots of book adaptation into movies and most times, I find the book version to be better. It proves that the power of words could never be beaten ever. Words have this magnetic effect of pulling one towards awesomeness. But watching is for leisure, to relax the mind and just looking at how the characters are put into perspective.

I watched the first harry potter films and after that i was hooked. i would never have read them otherwise. if i see the film and i enjoyed it i would read the book, never the other way round.

i like to do them both. reading could take a while but it could provide a more detailed story. it could give more accurate and elaborate description about a thing or a person involved int he story and it is always fun to use your imagination. Watching on other hand is much easier than reading. You don't have to go through hundreds of pages just to finish the story. All it takes is an hour or two.
