Do you give ratings to those that respond to your discussions?

Me, I give ratings to all those that respond to my discussions. I always give the (+) sign to those that exerted the effort to respond to my discussion. Even if sometimes I don't even understand what the response was all about. LOL. I give a (-) to those who just want to start a fight or a word war in mylot, and sometimes when the response is too offensive and being taken on a personal level, I found some on some discussions. That should not be so, we should just get along inside mylot. Cheers everyone!

I gave plus rating to every response in my discussion, and award best response few weeks later. doing so will raise their star number, it is my another way of saying thank you without letting the responder knowing it, sometimes i got hostile response like he want to start a war or fight in my discussion, i just overlook it , and forgive about the hostility and rude remark, still rate him a plus but no best response.

I am not in mylot to start a war but have friends to discuss affair and others stuff concerning us. It is common everyone has own opinion and view since we human are not wire the same in our brain, so disagreement is not a big deal to me, so i can always take it easy, it is nothing personal, giving plus also make me happy as i can see my responder star rating going up after some times.

Yes, I make sure that I always rate all responses on my discussions. It doesn't matter if they agree with me the important is that they find time and make sense in sharing their opinion. I also put a positiive rating for those who can express themselves very well but for those who are still trying to master the english language I also rate them positively for the effort. But for those who just try to answer just for the sake of adding their post. This are people who answer in one word. I just leave it unmark.

Hello! Yes I make it sure that I give to the respondent of my discussions. I don't care how brief or long their response as long as it relates to the discussion I made, I never hesitated to give that ratings. For me it's a way saying thank you for giving time to respond in one of my discussions.

Absolutely, every one of the replies to my posts got a + rating. I think it is the least I can do. However your habit of punishing those who disagree with you is against myLot rules. They clearly state in their FAQ What if I disagree with someone? Should I give that post a negative rating? * Absolutely not! In fact, if you disagree with a post, but still feel it positively contributes to the discussion, you should rate it positively. Rating quality content negatively will hurt your ratings overall. Remember differing opinions and viewpoints tend to make for the most interesting discussions. I believe those who want to start a flame war should be ignored and they tend to go away. Rising to their bait is what they want, being ignored is not.
