Does your wedding ring still fit?

I got married 5 years ago and had a child 3 years ago. Since getting pregnant, I have not been able to wear my wedding ring. I have gained weight since having a child, so I know that I might be able to wear my wedding ring again if I lose the weight and that's what I've always hoped to do. But it's been 3 years, people. I miss wearing my wedding ring, but I don't want to just give in to this weight and have the ring resized. I'm actually in a new quest to lose weight and hopefully, I'm successful this time, lol. My husband doesn't wear his ring either, but that's because he lost it less than a year after we got married. What about you? Do you still wear your wedding ring? Have you had it resized?

Yes, my wedding ring still fits after 14 years of marriage and 2 kids later. It even fit while I was pregnant with my kids.
My husband on the other hand hasn't been as fortunate. In his line of work his fingers tend to swell. However, when he gets time off they go back to normal size. Because of this his ring won't fit when work is steady. He'd like to get it resized, but not only would it cost a pretty penny to have it done, his ring wouldn't fit during the times work is slow. He's probably better off just getting a cheaper ring that is bigger in size so that he can wear a wedding ring year around.

Yes, but only if it fit! LOL But after talking to him about it, he doesn't want anything other than a comfort fit ring. And as those aren't cheap it looks like he'll have to be ringless...for now.

Wow, you're so lucky. I think I started to gain weight (not to the extent of 20 lbs heavier though) even before I got pregnant. Is your husband that committed to wearing his ring year round? Having two rings certainly seems an answer to his situation. I have a feeling that most men would probably just wear their ring when it fits and not care that they can't do that everyday. :)

My 2nd anniversary is coming up in a week! My wedding rings still fit perfectly! Even when I gained a bit of weight (which I am currently losing) I was still able to wear them. I think I would get something else if I couldnt wear my wedding rings. I wouldnt want to wear nothing! I have a diamond engagement ring and then my wedding band is a wrap with sapphires and diamonds. I would probably get a plain band because I would still be motivated to want to wear my beautiful rings again!
My husband wears his ring most of the time. He has to take it off for work, though because it gets in the way. I think I would be upset if he didnt wear it all of the time. I know that a ring is just an object, but they mean a lot to me!

Your rings sound gorgeous. I can still wear my engagement ring, actually. I want to go back to wearing it on top of my wedding ring. At least, your husband can wear his ring for special occasions. My husband's is resting somewhere beneath the sands of a beach (that is, unless someone had already found it). We really ought to go back with a metal detector. But what are the chances of us finding it 4 years later, eh? :)

Well it's just been 9 months since I got married and I'm having my baby next month. So far my wedding ring still fits, probably because we bought a tad size bigger since my knuckles are kinda big. Good luck on your quest on losing weight. But there's nothing wrong if you choose to resize it. :)

i stopped wearing mine about 2 years into my marriage but i have had some ups and downs with my weight and when i got married i was really unhealthy weight wise (under weight) so no it doesnt fit anymore but thats a good thing. i dont plan on resizing it because i never like it.. we trust each other enough to know we dont need a ring to show it

Just like you, I have gained weight after giving birth to my two daughters. I have stopped wearing my wedding ring for 8 years already. I don't think I miss wearing my wearing wedding ring. Cos now my fingers are too ugly to wear a ring. My hubby also don't wear his wedding ring. As he is in the contruction line, it is very inconvenient for him to wear while working. I won't resize my wedding ring cos I want to show my daughters how slim my fingers was before I gave birth to them. Cheers =))

Can you possibly wear your wedding ring on another finger? My wedding band is really large, and my engagement ring is white gold, so I didn't think it would go that well with my yellow gold wedding band. I wear my engagement ring on my ring finger, and my wedding band on my middle finger, right next to it. I'd rather be untraditional than not wear my wedding band at all. It actually fits better on the middle finger than it would on my ring finter.

With my first marriage I had 4 children and could never wear my ring during any of my pregnancies. I always had to wear it on a chain around my neck. That was almost 10 years ago. I am now remarried and pregnant and my ring fits me fine still. Either I gained more weight before or it was a sign of things to come for my first marriage.
