Can you memorize while competing against outside noise or while you're listening to a music? Or would you rather prefer to do it in a calm and silent environment, perhaps inside the library or in your room?
In my case I can do the same... When I was studying I memorize theory texts on both ways depending on my mood, that means I could adapt to my environment regardless if its noisy or silent... When it comes to formulas, I see to it that I make patterns like making a word or arranging it in alphabetical order whichever helps. Repetition helps retention. Its effective if you memorize early in the morning when you wake up and before you sleep. Coz in recent studies, it shows that those were the times when the gateway from your subconscious mind and conscious self is still open.
How about you what are your techniques?

Well, I find that if I listen to the Mozart, I will memorize things better. In fact, when I am trying to remember someting, nothing can disturb me, whetherit is noisy or silent. And when memorizing, I will make the abstract conception into funny, concrete things. It will be easy and interesting to remember things. You can have a try.

I can memorize almost anywhere. Early morning and late at night work best. I can memorize driving down the street too! I use the same devices as often as I can and that helps also. If I can organize it somehow in my mind and label it with something I can remember then each section is easier to remember as I can pictur it in my head.
