why is it so deficult?

to find a nice place to hang out if you are a teen, everything is so far a way and you end up paying 20 dollers for gas just to hang out somewhere, why isnt it as easy as foreign countries? such as egypt i went las summer and every place is nice and enjoyable to hang out. Also the people are so much nicer.
