It was a rocking end to the IPl with a close fought final. D.C won in the end but the real hero was Anil Kumble with the best spell of the tournament, and its the only final i remember where the man of the match had gone to the loosing team. While it was a miserable performance by Dravid from dropping catch to not managing to score even on strike of run a ball he took 13 balls for his 9, and the was he got out was simply not expected from the batsman of his caliber. Still all in all it was a superb final.. and ended with equally good closing ceremony, specially the Akon's performance with that miss IPl was simply superb.

Yes, it was a superb final. when deccan chargers started batting, everybody thought that gilly would fire again and put up a big total for the royal challengers. however kumble felt that Lightning strikes only once.. so they had a match on their hand. since it was not a big total, the match was very tense with each ball being bowled and at the end the team with nerves won the match.
I did not understand why they included robin uthappa who came at No.8.. he is not an allrounder so he should have come atleast 1 or 2 .. he did not have much game earlier so he lost the touch and looked tense at the end.

Uthappa has got many games before and have also scored a 50 in a recent one.. the thing is that he hits the ball for boundary or six mostly in mid on or mid off region and RP didn't provide him the length to hit there, even he didn't bowled a single yorker to him as he kept coming long way out of crease.. it was just sensible bowling which kept breaks tight on him.

I missed that because it was way too late for me to watch those.
but yes, it was a good final but last years final was more intresting thatn this years. I have not seen the drop catch but I would say that Prvin Kumar's over which costed 20 runs made the difference at the end. Robin Uthppa had a great oportunity to prove himself nd he had done it in past but that was not his day, I guess.
I am disappointed because I wanted RCB to win but never the less, Gilly became a part of winning team. So, again an Oz captain took the IPL trophy, next year guess.... can it be McGrath?
