Now that I have been on mylot for a few months, I have come to realize that I am not really in it for the money. I made my payout last month, and now I look at my sad little balance a few times a week, but I really don't have enough time to come here daily and earn a payout. I still stop by every few days and respond to a good discussion, or start one just for fun, but I know that I won't earn doing it that way.
Do you just come to chat, or are you in it for the money?

The money does not amount to enough to be here for the money. I have set my pay out kind of highs so that at least when I get paid I will have enough to go splurge on something.. It may take forever to get there but then again I am not here for that.

I also reached payout last month and although that makes me happy, I am not here for the money. I enjoy the discussions and it is a break from my day. I am making money doing freelance writing and I am thrilled about that. mylot is a great stress-releaser but not a big money-maker for me.

Well, like you and others here have found out, it does take quite a while usually to earn $10 in here, so unless people like you come here just to meet New people and make friends, most leave. I have been here for over 2 1/2 yrs, and even though I have reached payout in here many times, I am not here for the money even though the extra is nice. Hopefully there will be many more to realize this and stay active in here as well.

I can't say that money has nothing to do with it, but when I first signed up on mylot we made a lot more than we do now. So I do it also because it is fun. And little by little the money does eventually start to add up. I also get a lot of invaluable information from other mylotters.

I still like the money as much as I enjoy the discussion. Everyday I have something to tell my boyfriend "did you know that..." based on a strange bit of information I got on myLot. Although the pay is really low in here, I actually enjoy it so I guess it's a mixture of both. Because honestly, if they were to get rid of the earning feature...I guess I'd stick to my blog more than I'd spend time in here :)

At first, I was really in it for the money. I only have a part-time job and I was looking for ways to make money online to supplement my paycheck.
I've only been on here a little more than a week, but I really enjoy getting on mylot and chatting with everyone. I guess when I actually get that payout, it'll just be a nice little bonus!
