Who do you think rafa should sign for next year

i think rafa should dumb lucas leiva, and sign some quality players such as david villa or david silva, and dont buy the players like robbie keane who has failed to be the real kop.

hmm i also think that midfield is enough because we have gerrard,alonso, mascherano, riera, benayoun, kuyt. But i don't see somebody who can cover them if they are injured. So rafa should buy a player who has quality exactly the same as them but not lucas.
In front line, we have only fernando torres. Steven gerrard cant accompany torres forever. There should be someone to cover Torres, Ngog havent capable to equal torres. Rafa must have sign a quality striker

I agree with your about Lucas. I don't think he is a good player. He is only a normal player play for a great team.
Buy a great players like David villa or David Silva is a good options. The only thing is Rafa don't have that much money to buy them. He only get 15mil pound to buy players. Midfield is not a problem with Rafa. We have Alonso and Marcherano to cover that area.
I think Rafa should sign a striker to cover Torres whenever he is not available. But with the money he have, I don't think Rafa have much choice. He should spend wisely.

I think Rafa should sign a creative midfielder like Benayoun who can also back up as a good center forward. I think Silva will be a good buy. At the same time, Rafa should give more opportunity to the young players like Plessis, Spearing, Pacheco, Nemeth, San Jose to play a part in the Premier League as well as other cup matches.
The current squad is already good to challenge Manchester United in the Premier League. Another one or two world class addition will ensure that the title will be landed at the Anfield next season!

Midfielder to me is not the main problem with Liverpool. They have a few good players there like Gerrard, Mascherano, Alonso, Benayoun and a few more. but I do agree that this young players should be given more exposure to the real competition. They can't learn everything on training. They need real competition to expose themselves.

Liverpool really gave a good chase for the premiership title this season which at a time seem like Manchester United was going to win very easily. I have a feeling next season is going to be really interesting and much more competitive. Well Liverpool has some excellent players but I think they probably need some younger players to support Torres and Gerrard. So far it seems these two are the strength of the team.

Personally think the reason that we fell short this year was we lacked a striker to score goals when Torres and Gerrard weren't. Resulting in us drawing too many games that we should have won, If we had won two of the games that we drew we would have been champions.
Therefore need a striker of the likes of Villa, although that could problems of getting Gerrard, Torres and another in the same starting line up.
The rest of the team performed well, and Riera was excellent when he joined.
