have you ever emailed someone for no other reason except just to say hi? not on a special occasion or when you have a question or an answer. but just to say hello? to start a conversation from the very beginning? "hello" or "hi" or maybe hola or aloha or hey?

I have done that adn I continue to do that to keep in touch with my fmaily and friends. I almost always strat my emails out with Hey, Just wamted to drop a note to hi and see how your are doing! Then I continue with the rest of my email. I so that all the time, I think it is nice to do that or to have it done. I think it shows tht even in a busy life you can find time for the little things in life like sending an email to say hello and let them know your are thinking about them. It feels good when I get them so I am hoping that they might feel the dame!

i guess i never emailed someone just to say hi or hello but i'm pretty sure i sent text messages to a lot of people just to say hello or hi. these times happens only when i'm bored -- super bored..
when starting a conversation, saying hello or hi is not a necessary opening for me..

I never do that but it would be nice if someone do that, you know. At least they think about you that's why they email you to say HI, to get your attention.

i have done that in the past but it's not something i do.
i did it to see what my friend was up to or whatever. just to check in on him and say hey.. to keep in touch.. since we didn't talk much.. it's nice to keep in the touch though even if it's just a simple hi.. to let the person know you are thinking of them.

yeah sometimes if I have to speak to someone for sometime I either say hi and ask them what they're doing or I find a random thing to say...
