Hello every one!! Here I mean to saying bye bye while chatting. This is an interesting thing. When chatting with a friend, and at last when it's time to say bye bye, then I think we have to manage to say bye bye before some actual time to say bye hehe... Well it happens that I say bye, and write write take care, see you and so on...Then the other person would also write the same thing like "you too take care", "see you". Then again we get lost in the discussions... And again we come to say bye to each other, then again talk a while more. Type a bye and take care and then wait for the response and again say bye hehe.... Isn't it funny...And to stop the conversation finally, I have to say, final and final sure byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....... Do you do the same thing?

I found this one interesting just because it does happen to me everytime i am talking with someone. It maybe funny that sometimes i keep on saying bye to mean that i will sign out, but it doesn't happen. I am waiting for someone to sign out first, and when he/she don't i keep on talking. When the other person say bye then don't sign out i say, "you sign out first then i will sign out too". If this doesn't work, i type period(.) then i do not respond to mean its really a bye but i do not sign out.

yeah glesil!!! that's what exactly happens. Write a bye and then wait for the response of that bye...Then the other would write something and then he/she again expect the same and the discussion goes on again hehe... Thanks for sharing your experience and that was interesting... Happy mylotting...

I do that every so often. Sometimes that can get annoying, but sometimes it's just plain fun! One thing you can do to help speed things along is to make it a competition as to who signs off/hangs up first. So you'll say "bye", the other person will say "bye", and then you can keep score of how many times you hang up/sign off first verses the other person

Hahaha I know what you mean.. I'm also like that especially in a phone conversation since I don't chat thru internet. =D sometimes when the "bye" thing gets too long i often get irritated and so i take the initiative to END it.. haha =D usually i say a sweet "bye bye" and then end it in an instant so it wouldn't sound that rude =D usually, i end the phone conversation first especially if i'm talking to a boy.. i'd always end it with a sweet bye-bye voice and then i'd end it up hehe =D

I would love to have a chat or two with you on IMs and I will start my chatting with a bye bye to see if it goes anywhere after that ! LOL! yes, I have experienced that, I think this way we check if the other party wants to ahve a chat with us more or not. I always pretend that I am going but I never had intenstions of going away. Most of the time, I am not the one wants to end the discussions. After all, I dn't get many persons chatting with me these days!

Oh come on, lets see who can resist more lol... So I think instead of starting with hi/hello you would start with bye, bye bye lol...And then slowly you go on chatting on and on and finally you say hi, hello how are you lol...

I have done this. I will be talking on the phone to my sister in Birmingham, which is long distance from here. I will say I have to go and then we would get to talking about something else and we'll talk some more for a few more minutes. Then, finally, I'll say I need to go again and that's when we hang up, lol. She's a talker, anyway. My sister who lives next door to me is getting to where she does the same thing here lately. She's getting repetious in her old age, bless her heart. She probably wouldn't like it if she knew I told her age but she turned 70 this year. Kathy.

I think I've already told a few other people her age. She still doesn't know it, though. Kathy.

this is interesting discussion! i just did that with my friend. i was just chatting with her then my mom called for dinner then i had to tell her to stop. so i wrote "i am goin to have my dinner so i will have to take a break" then she wrote "ok,ok,ok bye for now",since she's abroad she must be missing special neplese dish and i wrote"i am going to have 'DAL BHAT' while your just thinking about it" well then it just kicked the conversion back, and we were talking another ten minutes and ohter minutes telling "c ya" "miss ya" "bye bye..." until i logged off. i always want to be last one to say bye..when i do that i just log off hehe..

Yeah I know how your mum and my mum, the sisters shout in this case, keeps on shouting every minute until you come up and get your meal... I know your habit how you keep doing such things hehe...And even when I come to teach to you, you use to spend much of the time I don't know where, where...You usually wasted minimum of 10 minutes before you actually come to study... Thanks for your response... happy mylotting...

Yea, I'm like you too, I like to make sure I say bye bye ewverytime when I talk to people on the phone, otherwise, I feel the conversation is not all the way ended, even sometimes if I hung up by accident, I will clal back and say bye bye again :-p

yeah its funny. We are so much used to saying these things. Without bye bye the talk is not really finishes. Seems like a sentence without a full stop isn't it... Thanks for your response...Happy mylotting...

This is interesting. I used to do it all the time. It must be because people think that he/she should be the last one to answer. ie. it would be impolite to not to answer back. Like nzalheart said, we will say bye, tc, c u etc. and they would say the same to us; also thank u, then we will say "Welcome and thank you to u too". Then they will say welcome and it goes on. we keep on saying "ok, now bye" but it goes on again because we wait for their answer and think they would be expecting another answer too. We just can't say bye and logout. It was sometimes funny but sometimes, when i was in hurry, it was very annoying. So these days i say bye, let them say bye then logout. Happy mylotting!

Yup sis, this is interesting. I haven't forget talking to Gerd in the late night, finishing off only after 1 hour of first bye and sometimes even more than that... And its funny too when we recheck what we have talked scrolling up the mouse... And yes, it happens because we try to be polite always and think that going off just so fast seems to be the uncaring person. So, this goes on and on when both tries to be polite lol... Happy mylotting...

Hey nzal...feeling nice to b commenting on your discussion...this one is the thing that i think happens to the most people but they don't notice it...you are right after saying good bye the conversation should stop..but that is not the case almost everytime for me...like you said 'take care' follows,if it's night 'gud night' follows...if your dear ones are far 'missing you' follows..and many more the conversation continues for a little while before coming to an end...sometimes to bring a conversation to an end after bye i stop writing any more...coz if i write another sentence then it will continue for ever again...so this gud bye thing is not always the end of the converstaion like it should have been...

Very true Devil12. Thanks for responding on my discussions. This really happens to most of the people. And this is an interesting and funny thing haha. I remember chatting one night saying bye bye for more than two hours. Like you said, each sentence after bye gave the chatting a new turn and it goes on and on to another phase. Even though "take care", "Good night" etc is already written, when even a word about other thing comes, the discussion goes on again on and on. Thanks for your response...Happy mylotting...

Hi! I used to do like u too but i don't do it now. At the time of saying byes i always used to mimic same words. And use it multiple times like Bye bye bye .... and sometimes i even used to fill the whole window with byes. I used to irritate them with my byes and make them laugh. But now i bored with it and i do something other. Saying byes depends on my mood. If I get bored chatting then i usually become offline or sign out. But if i am in mood to talk then i try to make them chatting even if they are saying bye by making fake stories or telling its important if if its not important. Once when my friend said bye at about 10pm but i made my friend talk upto 2am by making unneccesary discussions inspite he was saying bye many times. This made me laugh whole night and inspired me to do this again. hahaha funny...lol
