Have you ever tried Avon beauty products?

Today, I got a catalog from a local Avon rep.
The prices are really nice.
For instance, they have five Avon Moisture Therapy
items for $10. That's ten dollars for all five items,
not just ten dollars each. Way more affordable than
store bought. Full sized products, too.
Not just samples.
Very affordable and in my price range.
Love getting more for my money.
Have not tried Avon skin care products in years.
I'm thinking about buying something from Avon.
Have you ever used Avon? What's your favorite Avon product?
And how do you prefer to buy Avon, online or from a local rep
through a catalog?

I used some Avon products in boyscouts in the late 90's only because my mom was a sales rep. The product I used most was a towlette of anti-mosquito lotion. Which surprisingly worked, And it had a nice smell to it, too! It worked better than those sprays which I had to worry about inhaling in the chemicals, and getting it in the wrong places or in my mouth and eyes. This stuff supplied direct contact to the areas I needed.
I also found Activ-On products through Avon and started using it. Unfortunately, I could not get the schedule down to use the stuff long enough to get attached to the product. I just gave up on the stuff since my schedule started to get more chaotic.

Yes I have. I have a moisturizer through them. I also love the bronzer products. My favorite items come from the Skin SO Soft line. Love those and have used them for years. Sounds lie you got a good deal.

My mother used to buy things from Avon. I think a rep is better because it is nice buying stuff and letting someone get a bit of a commission

we use avon all the time. we love the lotions and deoderants. I get the lip glosses and roll on perfumes for my daughters Christmas stocking each year and the lip balm for my son.
I feel the prices are reasonable and there is usually someone at work that sells it.

I have not bought Avon in years. I have sold it, as well. The key to savings is to buy what you want when it is featured, and no other time. It will have great prices then. The products were always good quality.

Had not thought about that.

Until my daughter was born, I was an Avon lady here in Australia. I'm not biased but I think they have REALLY good products. I have really bad skin for getting pimples (STILL!! at my age!!??!!) & my face is always clearer when I use Clearskin by avon than when I use store bought products. Since I moved, I am yet to find an Avon lady here & with a 2 year old, you can probably understand why I don't have the time to join up again.

I used to be an avon rep many moons ago and it has always been very popular. It can be a bit pricey on some things but when they have the special offers on it can be a bargain to buy from them. I do like avon products a lot, but unfortunately they do not like me and I cannot use many of the products at all as they break my skin and make it sore! The shampoos are very good. If I was going to buy avon again I would probably try it online!!

I sell Avon and I have customers who swear by those products - and you're right - it's a good price, even BEFORE my discount! My personal favorite Avon products are their roll-on deodorants and their Night Magic Evening Musk. I really like how both things work. I also like the Naturals selections - I'm allergic to so many fragrances, but those are very nice and allow me to enjoy a fragrance without a headache or too much sneezing.

I was just checking out your Avon website through
the link on your profile page and noticed that the
ADVANCE TECHNIQUES Color Reviving Conditioner
is on sale for 50% off, now only $1.99.
Fantastic price, by the way.
I was wondering if that particular brand would be
good for someone with super dry, curly hair?
I'm kind of shopping around for something that would
work on my daughter's hair.
She's past the kiddie shampoo stage and all that stuff
dries out her hair anyway.
Would love to find something that could hydrate her
dry hair and keep it from matting and frizzing.

OK!
I've been surfing around your site for over an hour.
Lots of cool stuff.
Did not know that the catalogs could be viewed online.

The only time I've gotten avon is from a friend for a gift. That's about it. I'm not much for makeup although I do like to look through the catalogs. I think it's a great business opportunity for those who enjoy to sale these items. I'm not much for that, plus I couldn't do the parties without first knowing how to do the makeup. I've put my own makeup on, but couldn't advise others.

Many Avon reps sell online at a website and do
online chat parties to sell their products.
Lots of other moms in my Yahoo work at home mom
groups do that and seemed to be very pleased
with the experience.

Actually, I used to sell avon back in the late 90's but I have not used any of their stuff in a while. Unfortunately, with age, my skin is getting more sensitive and I have to be careful. Revlon seems to work WONDERFULLY for me and a lot of times there are some great sales at Walgreens and CVS pharmacy. But I like avon especially their bath items and their perfumes.

Avon is great and they sell more then just makeup. I have several candels and cute little bracelets I got from avon as well. The best part I think is that your rep will deliver your order right to your door. The down side is, its so easy to rack up a huge bill, lol. AS far as skin products go I usually use mary kay, but i like avons actual makeup better. I would suggest getting your avon from a rep rather then online only because they usually have samples, so you can test out the colors before you buy them to ensure you like them. Hope this helps!

At that price, why think about it. I have a local Avon rep from whom I buy something every three weeks. I like to stay stocked up with all sorts. Our prices here are not as low as yours, but they're still below shop prices, so I shall continue to buy Avon, as I really like some of the products. I love the Skin So Soft range.
Brightest Blessings.

I used to be an Avon lady when i was still working abroad... and since the items are quite affordable... i always get a lot of orders... i also used avon products in the past... especially when i was still a teacher... but since i don't teach anymore and an not required to wear make up where i work... i just buy items like mugs, toys for my daughter, and clothes...

Hi there Beauty Queen. I (and my girlfriend) do use Avon products but not all. We usually like the natural products and Avon senses shower gels. Apart from that i only bought some lip balm (but this still was tending to be toward naturals) for my girl.
My favorite product is this massage cream that i have "raspberry moisturising body yogurt"

When I was a student, I'd check my room mate's Avon catalog, and hoard for new stock of beauty supplies. I order stuff from her, atleast once every two weeks. The prices were very friendly to a studen't budget. Now that I am working, I still love Avon products, and still use some of their products, but I have been more experimental, and decided to try the more expensive products.

Hello,
I used to seel Avon years a gon, and I'm strongly considering going back, I love Avon products, but my favorite Avon product is the shower gel, I just purchased a Pomagrante body gel from a friend of mine who is a Avon representive. I prefer to purchase my Avon online because I always get free shipping no matter how much or little my purchase is, just disscussing Avon right now, is making my decision even more clear to me, I just need to contact a Avon rep ASAP lol.
Happy My Lotting!

I used to sell avon. It's bee a couple of years, but the product line that got the best reviews from my customer's was avon anew skin care line. It was a little more expensive then someone of thierother products, but it's still cheaper then a department store line. In my opinion, it's better to buy from a representative. As a struggling sales person it really helps them out. Besides if everyone bought on line none of the hard working reps would have a job anymore =(
