What's the your best or safest way to travel?

We all have a favorite way to travel, whether it's regarding to it's safety, convenience or economical.
For me the priority about the safest way to travel is:
1. Safety
2 and 3. Convenience and Economical
That 2 and 3 priority depends on the distance, for a short distance I'm preferring an economical travel over than a convenience ones. If it's for long distance I'm preferring a convenience first.
I'm also preferring a car and public transportation for a short distance travel. While for the long distance, I always look for a plane when it's possible. Train and water craft is my last option for travel.
What's your priority when it comes to travel?

There is always a possibility of danger on any form of transport. The risk depends on safety standards in the country in question. In a few countries I have traveled by bus and taxi and seen reckless driving. It has been scary when the bus or taxi overtook on a blind bend or drove very near the edge of mountainous terrain.
I have visited 52 different countries and I have stayed safe. One time I didn't want to go on a ferry because it had way too many passengers on board and it looked like it was such poor condition it might sink. In one country I was on a coach and there was a prayer which asked God if we could have a safe journey. Later came a two bible stories. The coach driver went along the roads safely but I know that country has a very high road traffic accident rate.
I love to travel by train and that seems to the most enjoyable way for me to travel. It is safe I like to think and I feel fine when on any train. I like to look out of the window in the day time and sleep in a comfortable compartment in the night time. I know there is a tiny risk that an airline will crash so it is not as safe as going by train. I have been on lots of flights with good quality airlines and I am still here. I know my aunt and uncle survived a coach crash and that must have been terrible for them. Most buses are safe to travel on and seat belts can help travelers stay safe on coaches. Ferries are usually safe in good weather but sometimes disasters can happen.

Wow, you're a great traveler Maximax8, 52 different countries
Thanks for sharing your story, yes there's no certain way to ensure us
the most safest way to travel. But in any form of transportation,
I think we should prioritize the safety first,
the convenience and economical factor might be the 2nd or 3rd in priority.

I have a fear of flying so anything that stays on the ground is my best bet. Usually I'll take a car to my destination. In the bigger cities though like NY I use public transportation to get around. I will not drive myself in the city.
