i am having a lot of problems with my son , let me make this clear first he has adhd, odd, bipolar, depression and a few other things , but latley he has been steeling or trying to steel from the store and i can't seem to get it in his head on what could happen to him and why it is wrong, when i told his dr about it he said it's his inposis that there is nothing that can be done about it he has to learn how to contol it himself but thats where the problem comes in it seems like he is having major problems with it , so i am not sure what i am supose to do he is my son and i cant just give up on him but i am not sure what i can do .

Hi-
My son has ADHD, ODD and Aspergers, so I can relate to behavioral problems. First, he has to understand that if he doesn't stop, he will end up in big trouble. I have to drill consequences into my son. Is he seeing a theripist? He needs to be and you will have to let them know what is going on. When you find that he has done something like steal, make him take it back and say "I'm sorry"... There are lots of things that you can do! Take his stuff away, ground him, do whatever, but there are many things that you CAN do. Giving up is not an option mama!

This is what i would do, and its just me, you don't have to do it or even consider it, but, i would let him do it, when he gets a bit older, like 15 or something, if he is still doing it (it could just be a faze hes going through) he will most probably get caught and be charged, then we all is paid for he would've learnt his lesson, not to steal as its against the law. All the time though you have to tell him not to steal, then you can say look what happens when you steal. But like i said, its just what i would do.
